The Centrepoint – a leisure space for university attenders to do whatever they wanted – was full with doctors, students and food stalls. Aclea Medical University was situated behind Aclea Hospital and linked with a bridge that only could withstand human weight. Vehicles were not allowed. Not even a bicycle. The smell of tacos made my stomach grumble, so I stopped at one of the stalls, dropped a fiver for two tacos and walked briskly to the lab. To my astonishment, it had fully occupied with students and tutors who were in the control.
'Have you registered Human Physiology, Your Highness? You look very confused.' A girl with a ponytail approached me with a sweet smile plastering beneath her button nose. 'Where are my manners? Hello, Prince Aaron. My name is Lisa Everton.' She curtsied happily. 'Considering that you're fully aware of who I am, you can call me Aaron. After all, we're classmates until our final semester ends.' I shrugged.
'My friend has reserved me a seat in the front row. There's an empty stool beside me. You can sit with us if you want to.' Said Lisa. I peered through the hustle and bustle of the crowd and found out that there were no more stools left unattended. This was so annoying. Sitting in a room full of students from different courses and years while locating the perfect territory seemed impossible and I had no choice but to join Lisa. 'Okay, Lisa. I'll follow your lead.'
We headed to our spot and gladly took each other's places. I continued to read my report. Lisa faced away from me to chat with her friend. Nothing interesting.
'I talked to him! His Highness! Prince Aaron!' Lisa sounded cheerful.
'He doesn't interest me, Lisa. I went there last night. He was drunk and careless.'
Was her friend talking about me? I leaned in to eavesdrop more.
'Calling himself the King of a Party... Falling down into his own swimming pool... No self-respect... '
Okay. Say what now? That was it. I was not offended because each of the words she spat were true. I was just curious about who was the daring person that got the guts to speak such things in the same room as I was in. I leaned in further and what I saw, made my jaw drop.
It was her.
The girl with platinum blond waves.
The girl who didn't throw herself at me yet I found myself being pulled by her enchantment.
