The party last night was a blur. I didn't have that much to drink, but considering I usually didn't drink at all, it was a lot for me. A lot of what happened I couldn't remember, but one thing stuck out for sure: the kiss. It was Sunday morning and I was still trying to figure out why I allowed myself to get so close to Omari. First, we took jello shots together, something I would normally never do, but for some reason, I felt sort of safe with Omari there helping me. Then, on the patio I got really honest with him and told him he was like a puzzle. Where the hell did I get that from? Finally, we were just sitting staring at each other and before I knew it, his lips were on mine, or the other way around. But the worst part of it all was that I liked it. There was just some sort of attraction between us that built up to that point. I couldn't explain it, but I found myself becoming infatuated with a boy I swore I would never be interested in.
I woke up with a slight headache, but nothing some Advil couldn't relieve. I had slept over Olivia's house that night since she was the one who dragged me to the party in the first place. I hadn't told her about the kiss and probably wouldn't because she would freak. I got up before her and went to the bathroom. I stood in the mirror for a second and ran my finger over my lips. I still couldn't believe that these lips had touched the lips of Omari "O Dog" Anderson. I showered and put my hair in a bun befoe leaving the bathrorom to find Olivia awake. She was glued to her phone.
"Good morning Liv," I startled her.
She turned around, "I didn't even realize you were gone."
I raised an eyebrow, "Must really be into your phone then."
"Yeah. I'm talking to Leon."
Here she goes again.
"Olivia. Leon is not the type of guy you want to get involved with. I'm warning you."
Olivia turned her body around to face me. "And how do you know this?"
In reality, I had only heard rumors. "I just know."
Olivia sighed and put her phone down. "Let's change the subject. What happened between you and Omari last night?"
Holy shit.
"Nothing." I quickly replied.
"Oh really? That's not what I saw."
I started to get really nervous. Did Olivia know that we kissed?
I looked at her with a serous face. "What did you see?"
Olivia smiled. "i saw you taking jello shots with him."
I let out a sigh of relief.
"And then you went outside and he followed you." Olivia continued.
I tensed up again. "Did you see what happened outside?"
"No," Olivia looked confused. "Why?"
"No reason." I looked away.
"Did something happen that I should know about?" Olivia started to get up from the bed.
"No, no. Of course not. N-nothing happened." I could feel myself starting to sweat.
"You're not acting like nothing happened..." Olivia stepped closer to me.
"Nothing happened!" I shouted.
Olivia stopped moving toward me and sat back on the bed. "Whatever you say."
She was starting to piss me off, mostly because I was having a terrible time trying to hide the fact that I kissed Omari last night.
"Can you just take me home?" I asked.
