The Haunted Getaway Chapter 3

It started out like any other morning. After kissing my wife Olivia goodbye I got into my car and started my drive into work. TeachingEnglish Lit to a bunch of college kids when all they want to do is party and screw can be a challenge. However, there are the select few that actually want to learn and that know the material, and it makes it all worth it. As I am stopped at a Red Light, I see a billboard ad for a new luxury hotel that just opened up. Huh, that looks relaxing, could use a vacation like that right about now. Just then the light changes.

After a day of students having trouble concentrating, I come home and make myself a snack. An hour later, my hard-working social worker wife,Olivia walks into the door, all excited.

"LeoHoney! You will never guess what happened to me today! So I was at work. and I get one of those spam emails things about a free five-night stay at this new luxury hotel, so I thought, 'What the hell', and entered. Would you believe it, I won!" Olivia finishes.

"Are you kidding me!? Baby! That is fantastic!" I run over and give her a big hug and kiss. "When do we go?" I ask.

"Two weeks from today," she answers. There is something you need to know about my wife: She is always entering random contests on the internet, and this is the first time she has ever won.

"I am so excited! I am going to book a room right now!" Olivia says.As she leaves the room, I get all the ingredients out to make dinner and think how perfect this timing is. The spring semester ends in two weeks, so I don't have to worry about missing any classes, since summer will be in session. I just might make it through the rest of the school year after all. As I get dinner ready, I can't help but develop a big grin on my face. For all of my wife's quirks, she comes out with some amazing things sometimes. Never a dull moment.
