-Your P.O.V-

I finally found Martha who was at the very center of camp trying to light a fire under a huge cauldron.

"Martha!"

I taced towards her and gave her a tackle hug. I was still embarrassed about what had just happened.

"Please don't leave me alone again!"

She giggled.

"I didn't leave you all that long! What's wrong?"

I shook my head.

"My brother just embarrassed me."

She laughed and petted my head.

"Yeah....they do that."

I let her go and looked over at her attempting to make a fire with two stones.

"Do you need help?"

She sighed but then smiled.

"Hehe. maybe..."

I lifted my dress a bit to rummage through my other pocket.

"Ahah!"

I took out a piece of flint and struck it against one of the stones causing it to spark and light a fire. (not sure if this trick works but my only experience with light a fire is in minecraft; flint and steel)

"Wow! You really know how to be prepared!"

We giggled.

"Alright Martha let's make supper!"

I went to get water from a well. It was close to a lake where the soldiers would bathe or splash around.

I got the water and poured it into the pot. Just then another carriage pulled up into the camp. Three girls stepped out carrying their luggage.

They must be the other nurses!

I went to get Martha and greeted the new women.

We introduced ourselves and lead them to the tent.

One of them was Theodosia. She was 22 years old, really calm, and kind. She had a warm smile and an independent personality. She was really cool and mature too! She wore a baby blue bodice with a faded purple skirt.

The other one was Angelica Schuyler she was really pretty! She wore a pink dress with ittle tiny pink ribbons decorating the lower part of her skirt. She seemed like a natural born leader. She was really energetic and strong minded. She was all in all awesome! She had black wavy hair and golden skin. She was apparently well known due to her being a Schuyler sister...

The third one was Maria Reynolds. She exceptionally beautiful. She had beautiful dark hair that was long and curly and smooth golden almond skin. She was quite the flirt with the soldiers as we were walking to the tent even though she said she was married. She had enlisted as a nurse in order to support her and her husband. She wore a dark red low-cut dress which showed a bit too much...

They chose their beds and left their luggages on their beds. Theodosia helped Martha prepare the beef for beef stew while Angelica went to finish cutting vegetables. Maria went to start the laundry but got caught up flirting with the soldiers instead who then helped her with her chore. I on the other hand went to get more water for both the laundry and the stew.

Afterwards I noticed the fire had been dying down so I went to the woods to get more woods. When....

Bang!

A bullet hit a tree next to me. I didn't flinch. I turned around the corner and saw Sampson with a rifle in his hands and his new "friends".

He looked at me shocked.
