" You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star. "

-Friedrich Nietzsche

Her dark eyes glued on the stage, Minseo felt a tingling sensation in her stomach as a shiver traveled her whole body. She closed her eyes and tried to take a deep breath, but the sudden contact of his hand against her skin made her body jolt.

The red-haired man stared at her and sent a small smile her way, hoping to dull up her nervousness.

Minseo sighed, unable to return his smile as her eyes were immediately taken by the public who was applauding at the duo before them who had finished their performance.

Suddenly, her sight was blocked when a familiar hand reached her eyes. " Look at me. Only me. "

He said with a gentle yet confident voice.

Her dark orbs finally shifting back to him, she couldn't help but study his face. His eyes held much conviction but felt cold to her, in contrast to his soothing voice. His cherry hair was styled back, letting a few strands of hair reaching his eyes, while the other side was styled behind his ear. His lips were in a thin line until they slowly lifted and turned into a heart-shaped smile, not quite reaching his eyes.

His eyes switching to her hair, then back to examine her face, he whispered, " You look charming with your hair up like this. Your eyes look very fierce yet sensual, and that lipstick shade really suits you. " A small chuckle escaped his lips. " You look enchanting, Minseo. "

He complimented with a smile, but the woman could feel the truth in his words. Her eyes shifting on the floor, she could feel her cheeks grow red.

He probably said that to lighten up the mood, but she couldn't help but feel even more self-conscious around him.

" Don't think too much, just do as we practiced. "

Easier to say than to do, thought the woman.

It was the first time for her to perform in front of such a huge audience whereas Hoseok, had already quite some experience with such a public. They were fellow dancers, pro dancers, judges, classmates, professors from their college and those around, the family of the participants, and friends. They were so many people that Minseo had no idea where to lay her eyes on.

If she had known this contest would be such a big deal, she would have given much thought before stupidly accepting. But what could she do now?

" Here, look. " Suddenly said the man as he pointed his fingers somewhere.

Minseo frowned, confused at what Hoseok was trying to show her until she spotted three familiar figures seating on the second row on the left, staring right at the stage.

" Jungkook, Krystal, and Kai..."

The red-haired man nodded, " They came to see you perform. Don't you want to show them what you have been doing these past few weeks? "

Licking her dry lips, the woman finally spoke, " I do. "

" They show them, Minseo. " He turned her to face him. " Show them all you got. Because I know my dancing partner. I know what you can do, Minseo. "

She nodded, feeling a rush of enthusiasm in her mind.

That's right, thought the woman. Jung Hoseok wasn't just anyone. He was considered as one of the best dancers in their city, let alone in their college. And he chooses her to be his dancing partner.

Since it had been a while since she had taken dancing seriously, Minseo had forgotten the feeling and pleasure at dancing in front of the public and let her foolish fears take over her.
