I fucking hate furries. The fact that they exist in a game I like is a constant unsettling feeling to me. Like I said it's not a majority but their are some what large groups of them. I myself am in a group where we burn furries and try my best to stay away from them. Never the less they always pop up somewhere.
Let's get a huge mis conception out of the way. Not all pyro mains are furries. I myself am a pyro main and if you ask any of my friends I hate them. While I must admit I have encountered many furry pyros but they are a disgrace to pyro mains, the tf2 community, and this planet. The reason their are so many furries as pyro mains is pyros character. His character is a child like man. Her view is a whimsical land full of rainbows, magic, and ponies. Pay attention to that last part most of all. Because of the fact pyro is like that most furries relate themselves to him. Even though while pyro does see everything in la la la land he is no furry. The thing that relates her to furries is he's fucking insane. One thing that pops up a lot is the Balloonicorn. She has taunts, items, and cosmetics that have to do with it. So furries are naturally attracted to it. His other cosmetics also share a lot of animal and "cute" related hats and misc. Furries usually either want to come off as "cute" or animal like so they often chose him. A Furry is more likely to chose pyro but that doesn't mean all pyro mains are furries. I ,myself, try the best I can to burn them out.
Bird cosmetics. If you see a pootis bird and his archimedic friend never assume it's a furry. I have never met an actual bird furry but I assume their might be some out their. Bird players I usually just friendly and cool. Monkey engies aren't furries they just like the animal cosmetics. Pyro sharks are nothing near furries and just want to fucking murder you. Owl snipers usually just really like the voice lines. There's a lot more example but despite their cosmetics these players are usually never furries.
I have encountered many furries in game. If their on my team I just ignore them and if their on the opposing team I go a little extra to kill them. I have gotten steam rolled by a furry though. He was a heavy and had two pocket medics. He spammed owo and uwu in chat with a furry profile pic to match. In that situation either leave or wait till the match is over. It's not worth it if you can't beat them. It's sad to admit you lost to a fury but it that situation you should just except the shame and move on.
Okay, that's all the time I've got. I gotta get back to playing Minecraft: Java Edition on my personal computer.
