joji's eye lids fluttered, his eyes burning to the sight of light. slowly rising, he realized he was definitely not in his house.
small, blurry images of last night played in his brain like an old film, the most prominant memory of being on stage, and very short clips of leaving the pub and a taxi.
his head throbbed, and his stomach churned.
damn hangovers.
he slowly turned his head around the room he was in; it appeared to be a living room, which was decorated very little and lacked furniture other than the couch he had been laying on and a small tv stand that held an old box tv.
suddenly, a metal clang followed by a voice whispering a curse came from an enterance not far from the couch. joji flinched at the noises, and poked his head up, searching for the cause of the noises.
moments later, olivia crept into the living room, carefully carrying a white mug and what looked like a piece of some kind of bread.
"so you're up," she nervously chuckled, "i um, made you... coffee."
joji took the breakfast from her hands, his hands shaky despite only waking up.
"you're probably wondering why you're in my apartment," olivia spoke, sitting on the end of the couch.
joji exhaled, "a little, yeah."
"well, let's see... you were fucking wasted, had to drag you home—which, by the way, you're drunken self is really stubborn, as you argued with me and refused to get up from the sidewalk—and then i kinda just threw you onto my couch. by the way, it's already noon," she explained.
joji raised his eyebrows and grew silent for a moment, not sure how to react, and started hysterically laughing.
"fuck, really? holy-"
olivia chimed into the laughing too. "it was like you were a six year old boy! i genuinely couldn't fucking get you up off the ground!"
joji's laughing settled, and he took a sip of coffee. "oh, dude, fuck. i'm sorry."
olivia smirked, "it's fine, really. just... next time, try to stay sober enough to, y'know, drag yourself."
this sent joji into another laughing fit.
