I opened the door to see my bestfriend, Grace. Grace almost fainted after seeing me. She had never ever seen me like this, I mean dressed so fancily. I was a little conscious at first but Grace being my bestfriend sensed it and hugged me tightly and started jumping up and down in her heels. After that I explained everything to her and she became really angry. She wanted to go and punch Laura on her face.

After Grace calmed down a little I introduced Laura and Chloe to each other. I knew from the first sight that Grace and Chloe will be nice friends. They had a few things in common. Even I didn't know Chloe for a long time. I just got to know her and became nice friends with her. But I knew one thing that the three of us can and will be very nice friends.

"We should never go to any party on time, we should at least be an hour or two late. That's rule #1 for getting popular and noticed by people. But remember to not be too late or you can get noticed by people in the wrong way.", Said Chloe.

We were an hour and a half late already. So we decided to go downstairs for the the bitch's rehearsal dinner. All my happiness vanished and anger built inside my body. It felt like fire in my body. We exited my room and Chloe gave us another tip on being popular, she said that they ( Chloe and Grace ) should go first and then when nobody is on the staircase I should make an entrance, a royal one so that I come in everybody's notice. Me and Grace were surprised that Chloe knew so much about all this. Chloe read our expressions and said, "I was taught all this when I was 10".

So now Chloe and Grace went downstairs and I waited for their signal for me to come downstairs. 5 minutes passed by and I peeked from behind the curtains. I saw that everybody was dressed as if it was some prince or princess's wedding rehearsal. Then I felt my phone vibrate which was a signal from Chloe.

I made my way to the staircase and stood there for a good 10 seconds and after that the hall felt silent and all eyes were on me. Then I saw Laura and Rose's faces flush. Well, I expected that because I broke the dress code and I was looking nice. All the credits go to my new friend Chloe. When I reached the entrance of the hall everybody started whispering to each other without removing their eyes off me. I felt a little awkward because this was the first time when ' I ' Was in the centre of attention, all eyes were on me. Then I walked towards my friend and they started complementing me that how I made such a graceful entrance And how I was looking spectacular. That made me happy and I felt a little more confident.

Grace said,"everybody wants to know who you are. I heard so many people talking about you. Everyone is curious to know you but Not in a bad way".

Then i saw Rose talking to a well known producer named Charlie Brown. Both of them walked towards me and when they reached, Rose introduced me to him. I was so nervous because he wasn't just a small producer he was a big shot. He was around 40. Rose introduced me as her step-daughter. She must have thought that by saying that I'm her step-daughter Charlie will lose interest in me but she was wrong. "You are a very beautiful and attractive girl. How come you aren't in our industry?",asked Charlie. I just smiled because I couldn't tell him everything about myself. He noticed that I was nervous and giggled and said,"you shouldn't be nervous. You are such a pretty girl. You should be a little more confident and I assure you that you can reach the stars."

I liked him already. He was very genuine.

After that Rose told Charlie that many other people wanted to meet me so we went over to different people. I met many new people and got great compliment. I was thankful to Chloe that I got to meet and got to know such amazing people. Then i took a break and took a glass of champagne and joined my girls.

After an hour I realised that everybody was gathered around me and I was the one who everybody was listening to with great interest. I think I was just looking like my mum. Even she used to go to these big parties and interacted with people and hold the whole gathering together.

It wasn't difficult for me to talk to people and interact with them. I think it came very naturally to me. I did not have to try hard. I felt happy like really happy after a long time.
