"gosh." i sighed and threw my notebook in frustration. i was working on math but i couldn't focus on the formulas, i kept thinking about the time where sihun told me that jungmo and minji's not in a relationship, but on the phase of getting to know each other.

the fact of knowing they might be together soon really scares me, i just don't know why.

suddenly, my phone started ringing. i looked onto it and saw sumin.

"eunsang~~ can we eat together today?"

i plopped my head on the window to see minji but she's not on her room.

to be honest, i lied when i told them i'm growing feelings for sumin.

i think i lied when i said me and minji's just friends.
i lied to myself.

"alright. see you.."

i agreed to sumin, as i want to cut of any relationship i had with her. i can't do this, i don't know if i'm just being selfish but i can't see myself falling inlove with her.

later that day, we met and i told sumin everything i know about myself and my feelings..

"sumin let's stop doing this?"

"stop with what?" she asked and fiddled with her hair.

"this. i mean, i can't pretend to be your fake boyfriend anymore. i'm really.. really.. sorry."

sumin looked at me seriously, "is this about that minji girl?"

"you dont need to know."

"haven't i told you what i'd do to her? i'll crush her reputation once you really stop this."

"i don't care anymore sumin, i'll protect her with everything i have to keep her safe, besides.. i'm her bestfriend."

once i said that, i went out.

to be honest, i pity sumin but not really since she blackmailed me before — i was only doing this for minji's protection. but now i finally have the courage to protect the one i dont wanna lose the most — and that's her.

few days after, me and minji's talking the usual and we walk to school sometimes too with jungmo.

one day, while walking to the park with her, i just can't seem to take my eyes off of her, i don't know. i don't feel this before though..

but my mood became sad when she talked about jungmo..

"eunsang!! i'm gonna tell you something.."

"what?" i said, trying to sound excited

"i'm having feelings for..."

"for?" i asked

"for jungmo!"

it broke my heart. but what else i could do but to support her instead? "haha, glad to know you moved on from me." i joked

she rolled her eyes, "anyways do you have a crush?"

"yes."

"sumin?" she asked back

"no, me and sumin broke up." i lied, yet again.

"oH?"

"yeah. but i think i got my eyes on someone."

"who are you friends with them?" minji asked

"yes. we are friends."

"ooh i wonder who they are.."

'Oh minji if only you know...'
