Space Ship!!

Jenni's Pov

"Did we lose him?!" Brooke calls out to me.
"Nope!" I yell my head bouncing off Jake's back every now and then.
Jake jumps over a fallen log causing me to be fumbled from his grip. I fall with a heavy thud my head hitting something. My vision goes blurry as Brooke pulls me to my feet.
"No time to stop," Brooke says and pushes me forward to run.
I stumble and gather my balance before running with everyone.
"Does anyone want to explain what the hell is going on right now?!" I ask everyone.
"Not right now!" Lance yells.
"Then why is he chasing us!?" I call out to them.
"We'll explain that later!" Brooke yells "now run faster!"
I comply with her orders and run faster, the adrenalin encouraging me. As I run everything around me blurs in a hurried rush. People move to the sides of the walkway as someone... well something chases us. Cars don't stop for us just like everyone continues with their day after we run past. Lance quickly runs around a corner and everyone follows. I hear something crash like someone was going to fast and couldn't slow down. I don't look over my shoulder, I just run.
We take all different kinds of ally ways just trying to get away from whatever was chasing us. That was until Lance got into a weird space ship. I stop in my tracks and stare at the thing in front of me.
"No time to stare," Jake says and picks me up and takes me into the ship.
I stand in the ship my eyes wide and my mind racing. Everything and everyone stood still for a moment before the ship lifted off the ground. I fall to the ground as Brooke does. Brooke and I make eye contact and I notice the blood trickling down her face.
"Shit," I say and hurry to Brooke. "Is there first aid on here?"
"Yea, why?" Lance says as he looks over his shoulder at me.
"Brooke needs it," I say, fear evident in my voice.
"Crap," Lance says as worry grows on his face.
Jake quickly grabs the first aid and gives it to me.
"Thanks," I mumble.
"Jenni, I'm fine," Brooke says sitting up.
"No, you're not. Now give me your head," I say opening the first aid.
"Jenni, I don't need it," Brooke attempts to convince me.
"Brooke, you don't have a choice. If I don't find the cut then you can have a chance of dying," I say glaring at her.
"What?!" Lance says looking over his shoulder as he flys the ship.
"Just concentrate on flying this thing!" I demand and I grab Brooke's head.
No one says anything as I start to look for any wounds on my Brooke's head and face. I find a small wound but how deep it remained a mystery for me.
"I need light," I say and Jake instantly grabs out his phone and turns the flashlight on. Jake shines the light where I need it and I thank him before checking how deep the cut is. "Shit."
"What?" Brooke asks.
"You're gonna need stitches," I say.
"What?" Brooke asks again.
"Don't worry, here is some pain medication," I say giving it to her. "Is there any water on her?"
"In the mini fridge," Lance says.
"Cool," before I get up to go get it Jake already has a bottle of water in his hand.
"Thank you," I say grabbing the water and handing it to Brooke. "Drink with the tablets."
Brooke does so and cringes.
"Yuck!" Brooke says and gags.
"Oh, shut it!" I say and start to prepare the needle.
"I hate you."
"Love you too," I reply to Brooke.
I start to stitch up Brooke's wound as she winces every now and then. After I finally finish with the cut I wrap a bandage around her head. Once I'm finished with that she stands up and sits down on a seat.
I lie down my skin hitting the cool metal. Jake joins me as I start to think about everything. All I wanted was to get a degree then go back home. Is that so hard to ask for?
"You okay?" Jake asks me trying to figure me out.
"Never been better..." I say as tears start to swell in my eyes.
Jake wraps his arms around me and pulls me closer to him. I tense up for a few moments before relaxing in his arms.
"Why did that guy say: 'we have longed for you'?" I ask.
Jake tenses and wraps his arms around me tighter.
"Because he wasn't the only one who has waited for 20 years just for you to return."
"Return?" I ask confused. "What do you mean to return?"
"Your mother and father are the king and queen of Shiboning Kingdom," Jake says.
"Your mother... the queen... took you away," Brooke says tuning in and lying next to us. "she did it for your safety though."
"Why? If I was living in a kingdom wouldn't I be safe?" I ask.
"The castle was no longer safe. My father got my mother out of the kingdom through a secret tunnel... the queen was with us... you and I were only infants," Brooke says. "Your father... he made an alliance your mother wasn't happy with. She kept telling your father that the alliance would cause a war... that's exactly what happened. A war began..."
"How come this wasn't taught to us?" I ask.
"Because the outside world doesn't know of the Shiboning Kingdom. It remains hidden to the outside world. So, you were raised outside so you were protected from this."
"What happened to my mother... She wouldn't have left me at the orphanage by will."
"Your mother trusted my mother with you to take you somewhere safe... but both of our mothers were killed. Your mother saw enemy soldiers and went to fight them off... that was when my mother went to help. She told my older sister to take us and run. So, she did that. When she stepped over the border to the outside world policemen awaited. Yet they were looking for four stupid teenagers. All males. They took us, only to find no trace of our families. So, they handed us to the orphanage."
"So, my mother and father are dead?" I ask tears falling down my face as I sit up.
"Your mother is... father is still alive though."
"How do you know the whole story?" I ask.
"My sister told me and some knights came every now and then while everyone slept."
"We have been best friends for years and you decide to tell me all of this now?' I ask angrily.
"I had no choice... your father demanded me to not tell you until you came here."
I don't say anything... I just stand and go to a corner and sit there to think over everything I had just been told.
