1. Nightmares

A/N: Starting from chapter 6 I will change up the POV from Y/N to third person, possibly.

Y/N POV:

Sounds of the clock ticking kept radiating through the silent class. Everyone was excited, I looked over my classmates, we were waiting. The last minute of high school. The moment we have waited for all this time, waiting to start our lives as young adults.

And then it happened. The bell rang, that annoying little thing that has been making every school hour annoying by its noise. Everyone jumped up from their seats screaming like it's the end of the world, but these were happy screams.

I smile at my best friends while I embraced them with a hug, we spent primary school together and completed high school side by side. The next thing I hear was something beyond unreal. The bell stopped ringing and all I could hear were the bangs on the windows. I could hear them breaking apart, glass shattering on the floor. And it all came from outside of our classroom.

The whole school went silent. No sound could be heard. No glass breaking, no banging and it felt like no one was breathing.

Then suddenly, the door was pushed inside, breaking it from its place and it fell straight in front of us. The sight was indescribable. I felt like I was in having the worst nightmare of my life. 

At the same time something, or someone, pushed themselves against the windows of our classroom that seemed to be untouched yet.

There right in front of us were standing creatures that were no longer looking like a human. Some of them had dark, bloody and rotten skin. The skin was hanging and they looked dead. And then there were ones who didn't look anything but a bunch of skeletons.

Are they zombies? This must be a prank.

''Seriously? You guys didn't figure out any other prank for our leaving than pretending to be zombies? Halloween isn't yet,'' I started laughing. But when the creatures started dragging themselves towards us, groaning and not showing any proves of being students, I stopped.

Just as I looked towards the door, more creatures barked in. Others seemed to take it as a joke as well and didn't back down. They were as confused as it was.

Until one of the creatures attacked my classmates. They had no time to escape or run away. I watched my classmates, the people I have known for years, scream in pain, cry for help, but I just watched. I couldn't move, it felt like my entire body was paralized.

I heard screams outside the classroom, I saw people running in the hallways hysterically. My heart was racing.

"Y/N! Watch out!" I heard my best friend, Taehyung, yelling at me. I was so shocked that I didn't see one of the creatures coming towards me. Taehyung pushed me aside to the floor.

It was all in slow motion, my back was slammed against the ice-cold floor.
That definitely left a bruise on my back and arms, my head slammed back against the desk, my vision turning black for a second. I blinked, kept blinking till my vision cleared.

I watched it, I watched him put his life in the line, his screeches, his pleases for me to run. Blood gushing out of all of his wounds from the creature devouring parts of his skin. It was horrifying, all I did was scream and cry, begging for the beast on top of my bestfriend to get off of him.
