Chapter One

Our first family holiday to another country. I didn't know how to feel, would we get along for two weeks in the heat and sharing a room or would it end in tears and an early flight back to London. All of these thoughts and more were racing through my head as we sat on the plane, soaring through the sky and heights I don't want to think about.

'You want anything to eat?' Mum asked me, as she wiggled in her seat, scrolling her eyes through the menu that had just been handed out to us. I shook my head in a response, plugging my headphones back into my phone and zoning out from the world once again.

The last time I was on a plane, it was a twelve hour long flight to South Africa with my school, within which flight I threw up and I was not about to risk that happening on this flight, so food
was to be avoided at all costs.

We were three houses into the flight, one more hour to go and the excitement was killing me. Soon enough, after I'd taken a nap, the plane began to land and with one final bump as we hit the run way, we were in Cyprus. We all grabbed our bags and headed towards the exit, the warm air hitting my skin as soon as we stepped off of the plane.

'Its so warm!' I exclaimed to my dad as we hopped into a taxi that was taking us to our hotel.

'I can't wait to go in the pool tomorrow' mum added, fiddling with her phone as she desperately tried to take a picture of the airport as the car began to pull away from the curb.

I starred out of the window as we drove past buildings all of which had spectacular lights, plants and trees surrounding them. I smiled, taking in the atmosphere that was surrounding me and finally allowing me to feel relaxed after one hella stressful week.

We arrived at the hotel and made our way to the reception. There was a tall Lady stood behind the front desk, her brown hair cascaded down her shoulders and covered her back, dje had the biggest blue eyes you have ever seen and was just all round beautiful.

'Hello, here to check in?' She asked with a beaming smile as she scanned each of us, as if she had a photographic memory that was taking in every detail of our faces.

We all nodded as mum handed her the paperwork confirming our booking, it took about five minutes but we were eventually handed the room keys, me in one room next to my parents on the top floor of the hotel complex. We made our way up in the lift and found our rooms.

A large double bed located itself in the middle of my room, a wall consisting of entirely windows and a door out onto the balcony was at the far end of the room, and the bathroom was placed next to the main entrance into the room.

Setting up my tripod and camera, I took a few quick shots of myself in the room before posting them onto my Instagram and unpacking my bags, ready for bed before a day by the pool tomorrow.

A/N: sorry its taken a while to get this book going, its all events that actually happened to me on a holiday I went on two weeks ago and it baso inspired me to turn it into a book so yaaas. Stick with it and I promise it'll get better :))) L.
