Akuma No Joo, or the Queen of Demons, is a spirit of Skrollika who was burned alive after the people of Skrollika found out a terrible secret about her.
The Queen of Demons was originally known as Cindy Lin, who was kind-hearted, helpful, and was always cheerful. She would always participating in community activities, and put on puppet shows for the children. She was only quiet half the time. She always had a great passion for reading. So, it was very common for the people of Skrollika too see Cindy with her nose in a book. Pretty much everyone loved her. Well, except one person.
There was always this one person who disliked Cindy. It as her sister, Frankie Lin, who was always very jealous of her. But, no one knows why. She just hates her to hate her. Frankie always believed that Cindy was always the most favorite one. When really, that wasn't true. Her sister was just kind to everyone, so people liked her. But, of course, Frankie couldn't see that. She was so fed up how her sister got all the luxuries of life and she was only left with scraps. She knew what she had to do. Tell the secret that she only knows of Cindy's. And that was Cindy was secretly practicing witchcraft.
The secret quickly spread around town. It then got to the authorities of Skrollika. They quickly took action by raiding through Cindy's house. Unfortunately, Cindy was home and she was incredibly upset that they were destroying her things without reason. The cops quickly arrested her and threw her in jail and made her await trail where she was sentenced to death by burning.
After putting up a fight, the executioners finally tied her to the stake. Cindy's last words were " You may know I'm gone now, but soon enough I will come for all of you." The executioners then light a torch and set the sticks that were around the stake on fire as the people watched the woman they trusted now betrayed them engulf in flames. She lets out a painful scream. Until she was nothing more than a pile of ash. Now, the people went back to their daily lives.
Or at least they thought.
Days later, the townspeople started seeing a tall figure of a woman with a canteen and a hatchet and so, even claimed to hear the sound of humming in the woods. That's when everyone knew that was the ghost of Cindy Lin. Her wrongful death that her sister had caused had turned her into Akuma No Joo: The Queen of Demons.
They say that if you are unfortunate enough to walk in the woods at nine o' clock alone, you'll hear a woman humming in the distance. If you hear the humming, you must take it as a warning and run. It is said that she will cause you back luck and misfortune. Both children and teenagers should be extra careful.
It is said that if you come across Akuma, she will try to offer a jawbreaker. If you don't take it, she will take out her hatchet out of her red trenchcoat and jam it into your neck. If you take the jawbreaker but don't eat it or lick it right then and there, you'll have to take it home with you and eat it there. An hour later, she will come to your door and ask you if ate it. She will know if you ate it or not. If you say you ate it, knowing you didn't , she will rip out your asophagus. She will then take your soul and put in in her ember where she keeps the souls of other kids. If you say that you ate it ,knowing you did, she will leave you alone. There is no possible way to escape from her. And if you try to, you will suffer a more gruesome fate.
