Chapter 5: Desperate "Boyfriend"

The next morning, you woke up groggily. You heard your alarm clock buzzing in your ear. Without much effort, you slam onto the snooze button. You wanted to rest more but a minute later it buzzed once more, this time it feels more aggressive. That might be because of your conscious. You groaned in frustration as you lean up sluggishly from the bed then dismiss the alarm manually. Before standing up from the bed, you did some morning stretches to help release the stiff feeling all over your body. 

After a while of warming up your body, you finally stood out of bed then stumble out of the bedroom to head to the kitchen. The aroma of eggs cooking drew near as you heard the bacon sizzling. You approach the kitchen then look to your left to see Braxton cooking while standing on a stepstool.
He looks to you with a bright smile, "good morning!" you nod to him with a zombie-like expression as you wobble towards the coffee maker. He notices you weren't awake yet, "so, aunt Martha took Win-Win home before she takes us to school. You turn on the coffee machine and watches it brew.
You mumble loud enough for him to hear, "oh, she's taking us to school today?"
"Yes and possible Si-Cheng as well."
"That's sweet of her," you finally spoke out loud as the steaming coffee pours into the cup.
"Mhm, so let's eat before she gets here," he suggests as he plates the food then place it onto the table. 
You continue to sip your coffee as you sat down, "yes sir," you smirk as you saw his big grin.
"Sarcasm," he points out. You nod as both of you laugh together then ate together before your aunt arrives at the house.

As both you and Win-Win walk on the school grounds, you notice Jae-Hyun stood near the wide doors as if he's waiting for someone. You saw him smirk then he walks towards your way. You quickly link arms with Win-Win as you pulled him away towards the side of the school.
Win-Win looks to you curiously, "what's wrong?"
"Nothing! We should be in our classes early," you flub a lie as you drag him.
"But our classes are the other way."
"Shut up!" you shout as both of you walk into the side door of the school. 

When both of you walk inside the building, you two had to separate. You were hoping that Jae-Hyun did not follow you since Win-Win was still in your vision. You quietly walk down the hallways to head into your first class. As soon as you stepped into the classroom, you notice that Tae-Yong was not there. You guessed he was either sick or late to school.

The moment you sat down, you look to your left and saw Jae-Hyun staring at you as he walks in the classroom. He sat down next to you in Tae-Yong's seat.
You look to him crazily, "what the--" you pause before you spat nasty words at him. "That's Tae-Yong seat."
"He's not here is he?" he says confidently with a grin. You roll your eyes then glance at Irene and notice how angry she was when she looks back at both of you. 
You look back to him, "why are you sitting here?"
"Why did you run away from me and left with another guy?"
"Win-Win?" you question, "he's my best friend and he can be a bit protective of me."
"Do I have to have his permission to date you then?" You gave him an angry look then smack him.
You softly shout at him, "no! But he definitely would be angry."
He nods to himself as if he understands now, "I almost forgot. You don't want anyone to know about us, especially him." You ignore him as you take out a notebook and a pen. He leans close to you intriguingly then whispers in your ear, "I am keeping our promise. I will stay away from her like you want me to."
"It's not just that."
He was curious about what you meant, "what does that mean?"
You let out a sigh of frustration, "I don't want her to have a reason to hate me more than already does."
"Why would she? Because you're dating me?" You nod as you began to write on the notebook as you saw what the teacher wrote on the board. "What does that have to do with her not liking you?"
You pause then look to him like he had to be joking, "are you serious?"
He slightly nods, "yeah?" he questions. 
You huff in disbelief, "you seriously don't know that she loves you?"
He leans back as he thinks thoroughly to himself, "I'm sure that is not what she feels."
You lean close to him then whisper, "what would it be? She's obviously crazy about you." 
He shows a sly smirk, "lust. She only cares for my body."

You roll your eyes as all of you had to stand up and proceed to stay silent until all of you had to be seated. As you sat back down, you try your best to focus on the lecture during class. Meanwhile, Jae-Hyun kept staring at you as you attempt to focus elsewhere. Anything to keep yourself busy from either listening to him or speaking to him in general. 
He grins as he whispers to you, "you also like my body too. Don't you?"
You blink your eyes a few times to process what he had said, "excuse me?" you whispered to him as you look forward.
"Remember at the dance studio?"
You blush in shock as you recall him dancing, "that was only because I liked the way how you danced."
His grin solemnly falls, "really?"
You nod your head to agree, "I didn't want you to strip or anything. I was content with what I saw." He didn't respond back after he heard you say what you need to say. All he did was stare at you throughout the entire time in class. It was a surprise the teacher had not said anything.

After the first class, you quickly left but he follows quickly after you.
"Y/n! Wait!" he shouts as he ran towards you. You slow down then turn to face him. "Let's talk to him about us if you care about his approval."
You shook your head, "it won't work. He's as stubborn as me." You wait for his reply but all he did was stare behind you. What is he so focused on? You thought to yourself then a familiar voice crept behind you.
"뭐 하고 있어 (mwo hago isseo? *what are you doing? [Right now]*)."
You turn around as you look at Win-Win. You can tell he's worried.
You shook your head with a slight smile, "마음 쓰지 말아요 (maeum sseuji marayo *don't mind it*)." You took his hand then pull him away.

Win-Win looks back at Jae-Hyun. He didn't look angry or anything close to that. He looks more confused maybe slightly unamused of what just happend. Why is he so attached to Y/n? he thought to himself as he looks back to you. What does he want with my best friend?
