Amanda's P.o.v

~~~
I texted Logan that I was heading to his house because I left my black sweater there. When I was walking to the front door my stepmom stopped me.
"What?" I groaned and gave her a cold stare. I hated her. She made my life tougher after my mom died. She thinks she can replace her and win my heart. How sick.
"Where do you think you're going?" She raised an eyebrow at me.
I rolled my eyes. "I left my sweater at a friends house. I'm going to go get it."
"Not until you clean your room." She said washing the counter tops in the kitchen.
"Are we going to have a family gathering in there?" I mumbled under my breath.
"Get to it Amanda Grace!" She shouted.
"I will when I get back!" I shouted then grabbed the car keys and ran out of the house.
I knew she would be so pissed when I get home but I don't care. I drove off to Logan's house and knocked on his door.
He opened the door with a smile on his face. "Hey trouble maker."
I smiled back. He always calls me that. "So where's my sweater?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Oh come on. Stay for a while?"
"Alright." I sighed.
"Im not that bad to be around." He said picking me up and bringing me inside.
He sat me down in the living room. "I missed you. You know that right?" He said, looking into my eyes.
I looked at him confused. "Missed me?" He nodded. "B-but why? Usually people are happy when I'm gone." I chuckled a bit at my own statement.
He smiled and shook his head, looking at the ground. "It doesn't matter what other people think. Their feelings are stupid anyways."
I slightly nodded. "I guess... But Logan. Why did you miss me? I was just gone for 5 days."
He look at me again. "Felt like forever to me. Listen Amanda." He put his warm hands over mine and sat closer to me. His voice got serious. "You're the only girl that..." He paused for a moment. "I can trust." I backed away. "Trust?..." I thought for a second. "I don't want to be the only girl in your life."
"Why not?" He asked. "I don't want you to always be counting on me and then I fail you." I quickly spat out.
"Fail me? No no."
"Logan.. I just want to be friends..." I got up and walked to the door. He followed me and before I reached the door nob he grabbed my hand and spun me around. He chuckled. "That's fine. I just want you to still be in my life." I laughed. "Alright." Our hands ran into each other's. Our fingers tangled. I looked up at him and smiled.
"Shall we dance?" He smirked. "Yes, we shall." I played along. We slowly danced around his living room, laughing.
