Amanda's P.o.v
Then I fell into his strong arms. I laughed and he laughed as well. "Should we grab something to eat?" He asked. "Sounds great." I smiled and ran towards the door. He followed and we went outside and got into my car. "I'm driving." I sat in the drivers seat. "Alright, alright bossy pants." He chuckled. "Wow." I rolled my eyes and smiled. "So how about Ajs?" I asked. He nodded in agreement.
While we were going to Ajs I sat up in my seat and said "What if I never see you again?" I said still keeping my eyes on the road. "Amanda.. Why would you say that?" He asked. I looked at my wrists. "I was just asking." I said coldly. He looked out the window like nothing had came between us. I drove a little faster. "I need to stop at this place..." I said awkwardly. "What for?" He asked. "My stepmom needs something." "Oh." He continued what he was doing. I arrived at this gas station. "Stay here. I'll be quick." I Said and opened the car door. "Alright." He spat back.
I walked to the front doors of the gas station and entered. Tons of strange men were roaming the place. Once I stepped into the store it seemed like everyone was staring at me. I quickly made my way through the crowd to the section I needed to get something. The tool section. This place had everything tool and drink you needed. Maybe like every other gas station. I grabbed what I needed and headed to the cashier. It was surprisingly a girl. With big thick curly blonde hair and brown eyes.
"Hey.. Must be rough working here." I said putting the tool I got on the counter.
She shrugged. "Not really." She opened the cash register. "I get payed a good amount of money and I've been here for so long, I'm use to it."
"Use to what? The customers?" I asked getting out the money.
"That and the smells, the work hours, and the money I get. All that..." She said looking at me.
"Oh." I put the 20 on the counter.
She grabbed it and put in the register bringing out change for me.
"Keep the change." I smiled. She smiled back. "Have a good day." She said and got carried away with another customer. I left and hopped in the car where Logan was napping. I started the car and we went to Ajs. Once we got there I nudged Logan. "Wake up lazy." I chuckled. A smile spread across his face. Then he opened his eyes. "What?" He asked. "What do want from Ajs?" I asked going in the drive through. "Umm..." He thought for a moment. "Just get 2 hamburgers and 2 hotdogs." He sat back in his seat. "Nothing to drink?" I asked. "Nah, I'm good." He said looking out the window. "Alright." I said and ordered the meal then went to the window where you get your food. While I was waiting I looked over at Logan. He was so cute cuddling up to the window. I couldn't help it but smile.
He turned to me. "What are you getting?" He asked. "Oh... Just a milkshake." "What kind?" He added. "Pumpkin spice." I quickly spat back. He nodded then looked away. We got are food and drove up to this park to eat. While I was getting out of the car my wrist started to sting. "Ow." I mumbled. I lifted up my sleeve to see my wrist and then all my happiness slipped away. Depression came rushing in. I saw the bloody cuts starring back at me. I totally forgot about the scars I made. I quickly put my sleeve down and walked over to Logan, by the picnic table. I sat across from him. Looking at our feet laying in the grass under the picnic table. He took out his food and began eating it. I didn't dare take a slip of my shake. I feel like I just got kicked in the stomach. I didn't feel well but I didn't feel sick. Just alone and worthless. It's just... Why? I'm not alone because I have Logan practically over my shoulder. Ugh. I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. Logan looked up from his food. "Is everything alright?" He put his food to the side. I nodded and looked away so we can get off topic.
He sat next to me. I tried my best to ignore him but he gently grab my chin and turned my head to face him. "Tell me what's going on." He asked, looking into my blue eyes.
