"Ah, my head," I rubbed my temple as I tried to sit up in my bed, only to fail miserably.

I looked at the clock which read: 12:34.

I felt dizzy and my head hurt so much, it felt like it would explode any moment.

I knew I was sick but I didn't even have the strength the get up and get a glass of water.

I fell back on the pillow for even moving hurt my sore body.

Raising a hand to my forehead, I checked to see if I had fever although I knew I did.

"Crap," I muttered when I felt the heat radiating off my body.

I had missed my classes.

At times like these I felt utterly alone. There was no one to tend to me when I fell sick...

...no one would even know I died in here until my body starts to rot.

The thought sometimes sent chills down my spine and today the chill made me shiver all over.

I pulled the covers tighter to my chin and rolled up in a ball, my joints aching.

I knew I'd have to wait it out until I was better enough to get up and buy some medicines.

But until then... I would have to suck it up.

This was always the hardest part.

Being all alone when I needed someone.

I started to lose consciousness when my phone pinged.

It took me 5 minutes to turn to my side and reach for my phone and by then it had pinged like 4 times.

Without even looking I knew it was Jae. As impatient as ever.
