Step 1: Choose Which Book You Want To Base Your Ability On
In Bungo Stray Dogs, every character is based off of a real life author, and their abilities are based off of a character and/or story they've written.
In order to stick with this theme, pick a story or character you've written about that really defines you. It can be your most popular book, or even just your personal favourite. The more personal it is to you, the better. If you are not an author, try to create a title to describe your life. For example, Osamu Dazai's 'No Longer Human' was a semi-autobiographical novel that described how he felt disconnected from life and those around him.
Step 2: Describe Your Ability
Describe what your ability does and how it works. Include as much detail or as little as you want. Does your ability have more than one 'level'? How Does it look and feel etc. ?
Step 3: Name Your Ability
What is your ability called? Your ability should directly relate to your story/character in some way. It can be anything from the title of your story, to a brief description of what it is or does.
(Optional)
Step 4: Describe Your Ability's Limitations & Effects On The User
Describe what effect(s) your ability have on the user if any and your ability's limitations. Does your ability harm the user or have any effect their body? Does it cause their personality or physical features to change? Can you control it?
Does your ability require activation? Do you need an object to use your ability or activate it? Can you activate it anywhere? Do you need to be in a certain physical state or emotion such as hungry/angry/injured/sad etc. ?
