Chapter 2: Football Try Outs

A week passed and the football tryouts finally came Eren and Armin were gonna try out for the team they were getting there gear on when the 2nd year football team walked in to put on their gear when Levi walked in! Eren tried to hide but it didn't work Levi walked up to him and said "Hey so your trying out for the team and why are you wearing a long sleeve your gonna be running a lot?" " I have my reasons, plus why would you care if you knew why?" Eren looked to the ground and grabbed his arm when Levi suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled up his sleeve and saw his cuts and scars, Eren pulled down his sleeve and closed his locker, put on his helmet, and walked away. Armin ran after him and said "How long have you been doing this?" Eren ignored him and just kept walking

"EREN ANSWER ME" Armin walked in front of Eren and stopped him in his tracks "Don't make me tell Mikasa!" Eren said "Since summer break" "Why though?" "I have my reasons... I'll tell you later, ok we need to make to practice to make the team"

They practiced for three days both Eren and Armin made the team and so did Levi. Eren was #27, Armin was #32, Levi was #18.

"Eren it's later so... are you gonna tell me why?" "I don't know, should I?" "Yes Eren you said you would tell me later... and it's later so... are you gonna tell me?" "Ok, fine ... so you know how my mom died when those guy broke into our house?" "Ya, what about it?" "Well.... what you don't know is I offered them to take me and not my mom... they agreed... but my mom was really mad and didn't let them take me... me and my mom argued while they watched laughing... then one of them pulled out a gun and just shot her..."

Eren started sobbing and continued his story

"After that Mikasa came in with some cops... they took them to jail for 50 years for murder in the 3rd degree... we'll I feel like my moms death is my fault I was weak, useless, I thought to myself why was I alive then I remembered you, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Sasha, and Annie what would they do if I killed myself they would blame them selves and I didn't want that to happen then I thought what would my mom do if she were still alive and I killed my self? She'd blame her self or sure and so would Mikasa... so I stopped cutting and let them heal but there not healing as fast as I thought..." "Eren... I-I don't even know what to say... just that I'm so sorry..." Said Armin as tears rolled down his face

Then Eren said,"... it's not your fault... just please don't tell Mikasa I'm trying my best to stop" Armin nodded his head as he wiped his tears. Eren smiled as he said," come on we need to go home now Armin's heart skipped a beat he thought to himself "Why did my heart beat just now?" then Armin just shook it off thinking it was just his body being weird.

Levi watched as Eren and Armin walked home. Eren smiled as Armin told him a joke. Levi's eyes widened and he kept staring at Eren's smile, then his best friend Erwin said "-vi, Levi " Erwin shook Levi. Levi said "what do YOU want " with his usual straight face or so he thought. Erwin asked "Levi do you have a fever?" Levi looked at Erwin in confusion he replied "No, why?" Erwin said "Because your face is red"
