Bailey's POV
I wake up on time today, shocker.

I get dressed for work and I grab an apple from the kitchen.

I kiss Grayson on the cheek and I leave for the diner.

I drive to work and I enter the diner. I walk to the back and I put my things away.

"Good morning everyone, how's everyone doing?"

"I'm doing great." Jason says.

"Yeah same." Harper replies.

"I'm back." Johnson say.

"We all know you weren't sick." Harper says.

"What are you talking about?" Johnson says, jokingly.

"C'mon, lets just get the day started." Jason says.

"Alrighty."

I walk out of the kitchen and I wait behind the counter for our first customer.

I see the dad walk in and sit down at the counter.

"Good morning sir, nice to see you again. I'm guessing two more chocolate croissants?"

"Indeed I am, need to get them for my girls before school."

"That's sweet, I'll go get them." I walk away and I do what I did before, grab the croissants and put them in the bag.

"Here you go sir."

"Thank you, Bailey correct?" His southern accent asked.

"Yes sir."

"I'm Mark, my daughters are Lizzie and Claire."

"Nice to meet you Mark, I hope you have a nice day."

"How much for these again?"

"Oh no I got this, it's on me, have a nice day."

"Thank you so much Ms. Bailey, you too."

He walks out and I lean back against the counter.

"That's nice of you." Jason says from the kitchen opening behind me.

"He seems sweet, I just wanted to be nice."

"You're too good of a person, you know that right?"

"Thanks." I smile.

"Whatever." He laughs.

"Jason, could you make me another one of those paninis with coleslaw, I'm gonna get Grayson another one."

"Why do you always spoil people?"

"Because I'm awesome, now please make ittttt."

"Okkkkk."

I wait against the counter for Jason to finish the panini.
