Okay, it's my first day of school! I've got this, I look great, I feel confident, and I already know Jessie! Everything will be fine! This was the pep talk I gave myself before going to Cayman High School for the first time! My family had bought a new house and so that meant we had to change schools, but we moved in over Christmas break and so that meant once break was over, I had to start all over in the middle of my junior year! I had been going to a private school for the past 5 years, and had nine people in my grade! I would be going to a school where, unless the plague struck again, there would never be nine in a class! I grabbed my things hugged my mom and my sister and headed out the door! The good thing about where the new house was that it was five minutes from the school!
When I got there I went straight to guidance, I was then taken on a tour and shown around the school, this school was huge compared to my last one, I was afraid I was going to get lost! Jada was the person who showed me around, she was very sweet, and very helpful! When we finished my tour I had to go to Theater. Theater was the extracurricular that I chose because I had always wanted to be a part of it, I had already auditioned to be in the production of the little mermaid and got a role as a sea creature! Yeah, I know, lame right? But it was what I had because I was the new girl, and I was gonna be the best sea creature there was!
I don't remember much about my first class, just that I sat with 3 girl, Chanda, Liv, and MC! We talked and got to know each other, and before I knew it class was over! It was break time, but I went a head and made my way to my next class because I didn't really know where else to go! I continued through my day meeting new people, seeing people I already knew, and somehow finding my way through the school! On Wednesday and Thursdays we had a block schedule. So we had all even classes plus tiger period on Wednesday's, and odd classes on Thursdays! I would love to sit here and tell you how my first day was incredible and super exciting, but it really wasn't, It was kind of boring! But oh well, I still had the rest of the year to have fun!
