You wandered around the city, bright [e/c] eyes gleaming. The sun was beginning to set in the background while you were out on a casual stroll. You jumped up onto a brick wall, landing with practiced ease. Your white tail swished behind you as you stretched your back.
Your [h/c] spotted ears perked up when you heard some shuffling and muttering. "God, I'm so stupid," a voice groaned. "As if I could get into that school..." You peered down from the wall you were sitting on to see a black haired male, around your age, scuffing his feet against the dirt.
Unable to keep your curiosity to yourself, you hopped down from your position. The teenager stared at you with so much shame and hopelessness in his crimson eyes that your heart ached. You tilted your head to the side, letting out a soft meow.
"What's a pretty kitty like you doing outside?" he murmured, squatting down. His hand reached out tentatively and hesitantly, but eased up immediately when you moved your head forward to meet his touch. "Definitely the friendliest cat I've met out here." he smiled a bit, which you were relieved at. You couldn't stand unhappy people when you knew that you could do something about it. He scratched you behind the ears, and you let out a purr that he chuckled at.
"I guess that you're the best thing that's happened to me today." he commented aloud, falling back from his feet to sit down on the ground. He didn't seem to care that he was in the middle of a park and that there was a bench just a few yards away. You took the chance to crawl into his lap, snuggling up against him. You weren't complaining since he was fairly attractive, but it was weird to think that as an animal.
The boy continued to pet you absentmindedly while staring off into the distance. You meowed, as if telling him to continue (which you were, but it wasn't like he'd understand you). "Today's been rough, I guess. I want to go to U.A., but I don't think I'm cut out for it..." he admitted, his free hand going to the back of his neck.
You let out another noise, one that sounded like a protest. He looked down at you with surprise in his eyes. "Are you one of those animals with a quirk!?" he gasped, moving closer to your face. Your whiskers twitched at his sudden close proximity, but you nodded. "Woah! That's so cool. Does that mean you can understand humans?" You nodded your head once more— you weren't necessarily lying when you confirmed you can understand humans, but that definitely wasn't your quirk.
You stayed in his lap for a few more still minutes of him running his fingers through your sleek fur. "Ah, I should probably get going," he said. You moved from your comfortable position begrudgingly with a sad meow. "I'll— um— be back tomorrow, I guess?" he rubbed the back of his head with an awkward expression on his face, to which you brightened up at. "I can't believe that I'm talking to a cat. And the cat can understand me." he let out an airy laugh at his odd realization.
"See you," he waved while smiling happily. "Thanks for making me feel better." You meowed, and your tail made a similar motion. His grin got bigger and a tad brighter before he finally turned back around.
When his form had disappeared around the corner, you reverted back to your original form. You let out a sigh, running a hand down your [s/c] face. "God, I'm so fucked..." you murmured, remembering how his calloused hands ran through your soft fur. "Did I just become an emotional support animal?" you wondered, beginning to walk away in the opposite direction of the unnamed teenager. "Oh, well. Can't be too bad." you hummed before transforming back into a snow white cat with [h/c] spots splattered onto your pointed ears.
Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. However, you couldn't really say that you were satisfied with your short encounter with the sharp toothed teenager.
