March 20th, 2089.
Lillian spent one month in the hospital.
When she was discharged, she visited her private doctor who had her diagnosis a couple of days later. As she drove there, she thought of the many things she could be diagnosed with.
As she parked her car, she started to tense and shake from the never-ending feeling of nervousness in her body. When she walked into the doctor's office, she sat down on the bed and waited for him.
When he walked inside, she knew it wasn't good news.
"Good morning, Mrs. McGoutten. How are you feeling today?"
"I'm good, except I am urinating more frequently, I am nauseous, my lower abdomen is swelling, and I have anorexia, and I am sure that I am not pregnant." Lillian said in the most calm voice.
"We did an analysis on the chemicals found in your building. There were carcinogens found in it, and large amounts...of talcum powder."
"So that means...I have ovarian cancer." Lillian said when the doctor shook his head.
She got off the bed and paid the doctor. Then she got in her car and cried while driving home. As she reached home, she dried her face so the others would not see that she was crying. As she walked inside her house, she realized she forgot to ask about the chemotherapy. So she called him.
"Hi, Allen. I forgot to ask you a question. When will I be able to take chemotherapy?"What she didn't know was that her daughter, Amelia was standing behind her. Curious, Amelia went to Derek.
"Dad, what is chemotherapy?"
"Well, it's something sick people need to get better. Why do you ask?"
"I heard Mommy asking someone on the phone when she will be able to take it."
Derek's smile dropped. He ran out of the room.
When he reached the living room, she was still on the phone.
"So I will be able to take the chemotherapy in 2 weeks if it progresses? *sighs* Ok, I will see you in 2 weeks." She said before hanging up.
When Lillian turned around, she screamed.
"Oh, hi honey. How are you?" She said, kissing him.
"I am good. Correct me if I'm wrong. You have cancer?!"Lillian twiched and shook and as a tear rolled down her cheek she said,
"Yes, honey. I have ovarian cancer."Hi, how are ya? Here is Chapter 2 of my new story. I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget to vote and comment! Chapter 3 should be out by Wednesday(July 17th). Stay tuned! I will see you then.
