Black lake city was where Jack started his life. His parents never treated him as much as his older brother, Austin. He was more like an orphan when his parents took him in.
He was jealous, furious even, that Austin had it all. The power, getting everything he could ever asked for. Jack wanted to be the important child.
"Come on Jack! Where are you going?" Shouted Austin.
Jack stopped and clenched his fist then turned around. The rage in his eyes.
"Dont worry about me! You're the favorite after all."
Austin stood across from jack, trying his best to keep jack from leaving.
"Jack that's not true and you know it!"
"NO!" Jack snapped.
"I am nothing to them! They are not my family austin. And they never will be." Jack then turned his back around and ran off through the corn field. Hoping austin never came after him.
He wanted to be alone and never bothered.
He stopped as it started to get dark and he saw an old abandoned barn that looked like nothing was in there for centuries. He then ran into a hay stack and laid down.
Tears in his eyes he cried so much he knew he was on his own no matter where he was.
"You seem angry, child." Jack heard a voice as he looked everywhere but saw nobody.
He looked up and a man jumped down in front of him. Jack backed away startled as the man walked further to him.
The man chuckled. Walking with the trail of darkness following behind him. Long leather coat like van helsing would normally wear.
"Worry not son. No need to be afraid." Said the man.
Jack panted. The fear he felt but the man knew it was not fear.
"Wh-who are you?" Jack stuttered.
The man stopped and stood over Jack, "My name is Von Dar and you, Jack, are special." He then darkened the night sky. Jack's eyes then grew with excitement.
"The darkness you possess, its your destiny! You can use that power for so much more. To rule!" Von screamed as his voice echoed.
Jack stood up wiping the hay off his shoulders, "Im not special. Im no hero and I have no power. Im nobody."
Von smiled and waved to him telling him to follow him. They walked outside the barn and Von looked up into the sky, lifting his hand up forming dark clouds and gathering them into the palm of his hand. He turned around looking at Jack. Jack could see the dark power within him and his eyes lit up.
"You, my boy, are destined for much more. But what do you want Jack?" Von smiled and Jack grinned.
"I want it all. Everything in this world that my stupid excuse for a brother gets. The powers he has gained. It should have been me!" Jack shouted.
Von chuckled then with the flick of his wrist, the darkness that was formed in the palm of his hand swooshed toward Jack. Jack didn't hesitate.
He wanted this and now... He's got it.
Jack could feel the power course through his veins. Strong, aggressive dark power choosing him as something different. Once the power was fully stored in him, Jack stood and quickly opened his eyes.
"I dont look any different." Said Jack as he looked all around his body.
Von smiled, "its not the look Jack that makes you new. Its the dark power. The feeling. It is temporary for now but I got just the thing that will make it permanent. Your brother."
Jack smirked and followed Von. He was out for the main thing before he would help Von with anything else.
Revenge.
