"I wish it wasn't so damn hard to leave ya,
But every touch is oh-la-la-la,
it's true la-la-la,
Oh I should be running,
Oh you keep me coming for ya,

Oh, when your lips undress me,
Hooked on your tongue,
Oh, love, your kiss is deadly, don't stop,

I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya,
But every touch is oh-la-la,
It's true la-la-la..."

Gryffindor Common Room, Half past seven in the morning

Reaching upwards to tuck some of her curls behind her right ear, Hermione made her way down the stairs towards the main area of the common room. On the couch sat Ron beside the stupid bint Lavender who proceeded to snog her friend. Hermione never understood public displays of affection to this extent, or any really. Not that she had ever experienced something like it, to her it seemed as if showing your significant other affection should really only be for them and not as if to prove a point.

With a exaggerated roll of her eyes, she made her way over towards the other couch beside Harry who looked positively exhausted. Rightfully so though. On Saturday, Ginny had returned back to school, which Hermione still tried to understand how Molly had let her return after what had happened less than a month ago. Harry hadn't willingly left her side since her return. It was rather endearing but really he looked as if he needed sleep.

With a soft sigh, Hermione spoke, "You look a bit tired. Did you sleep at all last night?"

"Honestly..." Harry leaned backwards into the couch and proceeded to roll his neck, "No. Not really..."

"Harry, you need to rest. Ginny is fine. We're all worried about her which means we are all watching out for her." she spoke softly to him as to not make such a big deal about everything.

"I know 'Mione... I guess I'm still a little surprised that she is back so soon. There was so much that happened that night. And to think that Knott was messing with her for so long, it just...'" he huffed leaning forward to have his elbows resting upon his knees, "Really bothers me that we didn't notice- that I didn't notice."

Hermione reached her left hand upwards resting it upon Harry's back where she softly rubbed back and forth in a comforting manor.

"I feel the same way Harry..." she mumbled before leaning her head upon his shoulder lightly. In all honesty, Hermione felt the same way Harry looked. Guilty.

Hermione knew that she should feel this way. She let Ginny down in a way. Her only excuse was because she had been so preoccupied with Malfoy and her schooling that she hadn't even suspected anything. The moment she saw that Ginny break up with Dean and how it had barely had an effect on her should have been a huge flashing sign that something was up. Normally Ginny would have talked to her about it, the way they had talked about how Malfoy looked like he wanted to shag her.

'Gods, I should have known,' Hermione thought to herself as she saw Lavender stop kissing Ron to look over towards her and Harry. The look in her eyes was rather pointed and almost possessive.

"Aren't you with Malfoy or something?" Her high pitched words echoed in Hermione's ears as she shifted away from Harry to stare down the bint.

"'Lav..." Ron immediately said as Hermione tilted her head sideways before speaking.
