Ch 1 - Rugged

You reach for the alarm but your arms are too short to reach. You try again but it is still buzzing. At that point you get up and turn it off. That really sucked.

"Christ-O-Mighty. Dammit man. Even in my human form my arms still feel short. I'm like a friggin T-Rex. My God." You huffed as you go to the dresser to put some clothes on.

You could hear gossip in the hallway of some of the guys getting ready. Some of the stuff was practical and other guys quite disturbing.

"Hey man your head is showing."

"Oi! Gils!"

"Move your ass Ram."

"Baaaaaaah!" Replied the ram right outside your door.

Those guys are going to clear once I walk outside this dorm doing the helicopter. It's too early for this. But time to start the day off with a little bit of light to it. Maybe a shower and a burger will be good to start of the morning. Rinse my scales and then get dressed. And if all else fails I can eat the ram. Been a while since I've had the lamb sauce. Oi!

Miss Ririko was in the offices. Each teacher had their own cubicle for paperwork, lesson plans, and interact business wise and personal when there was down time. Some didn't get go their desk until around mid day. Ririko however, was there just to make sure things were in order. Teaching was her life. And certainly it was the only thing keeping her going. Though there was more to it. Just had to be. She had just finished grading her tests so she can hand them out for today's classes when someone walked in.

"Morning." Chimed Miss Nekonome everyone's favorite neko.

"Morning. Question. Do you have a Mister (LN) in your class?"

"Hm? Why I do. (FN). He hangs out with a few boys on the roof and they study there after classes are over."

"I see. Reason I ask is you get along the best with students. Over to (LN). What kind of student is he? He's an excellent student but something about him."

"You think so? He has an 88 average in my class. Yours?"

"85. But you sense something?"

"Hmmmm. I'm not quite sure."

"Think the good boy thing is just a front?"

"I sure hope not." He frowned.

"He got a 65 on his last test. I wonder what it is. I'll find out. Thank you."

There she went to her classroom and set down her papers. Double checking her attire and making sure her tea was hot and nearby. In her seat with her legs crossed she was just waiting on the clock to start class. Homeroom was going to start at any time. You just happened to be the first one in as you had taken your seat. Unlike harem protags you had the fourth row and two seats away from the front. 

"Sup Teach."

"I should be the one asking you Mister (LN)." She slapped the test onto your desk.

"Crap..." You stare at the failing grade. 

"Everything alright boy?"

"I think so. Why?"

"You're an excellent student and this is the first test I have handed back to you below an 80. There a girlfriend? Something personal? I know you try Dear. You excel very well."

"I guess just a tough segment? I don't know." You sighed.

Well then. Just what I needed. Some fresh man for the time being. Just what the doctor had ordered. "Today at five I'll be here. I expect you to as well. Drink plenty of water and have a good lunch."

"Is that for energy?"

"Concentration mostly. I need you to me a man and focus on the materials. One on one. Just you and me. Can you handle that?"

"Obviously..."

She adjusted her glasses. "Really? So obvious?"

"Well preparing for studying is. It's only a nightly thing."

"Very true Mister (LN). I'll give you that. Though usually it is other things that occupy the mind of a boy." She sighed and headed back to her chair.

"Like what?" You ask.

"You're a boy. Gaming, hanging with the other boys, chasing the skirts." She smirked at you.

"Fair enough..."

"You have a girlfriend?"

"No. Not yet. That matter is actually complicated really." You sweatdropped.

She giggled. "Honey if you think that's hard try being 26 and finding a good, single man. Appreciate it now although I may know your troubles." Leaning back in her chair she was waiting for a response.

"What? You're single? Unbelievable." You thought that was BS.

"Well I went to school for six more years over in the human world and then the Headmaster gave me a job here. Been here about three years. Spending life at Yokai for the most part."

"You head home on the weekend?" How does she not go home. I'm a student so it's different.

"After working usually six days I don't bother unless it's a holiday or the break. I have an apartment. Though if the bus driver takes me it is two hours one way."

"Wow Miss Ririko that's amazing. But are men that bad? Maybe the standards are high? I mean-"

"Is it hard to be have a woman be appreciated? Be thought about? But the worst part is stubbornness."

"Stubbornness?" You ask.

She sighed. "Men. Once the reach adulthood it all changes. Always right. Always have to be right. He comes first. He makes the rules. Doesn't listen. Oh honestly." Another sigh. "You don't think I've tried boy?"

"I would think you had some guy. I mean, well-"

"I'm listening?" She leaned over the desk.

"Looks wise? Smart too." You blushed.

"Why thank you. Surely we shall continue this during our session."

"Okay..."

I will say, some won't find a good woman if they don't change. Men can suck.
