Chapter 7

When I wake up I see I have two missed calls from Stewart. That's weird he usually calls Sophie. I listen to the voice mail. After I have to sit down. Cody got into a car crash because he was drunk. I'm getting dressed when Sophie wakes up. I tell her what happened and that I'm going over there. Sophie says that she is coming and that Amelia is sick. We get into my car that I left here a couple nights ago. " Hey Sophie will you call my mom and tell her why I have been gone?" "ya sure." she grabs my phone and calls my mom and explains everything. We pull into the hospital and I get butterflies. But I just push them away. We walk into the hospital and I tell the lady why I'm here. She tells me what room he is in. I walk in and there he is on the bed. He has second degree burns on his arms and legs. He also has a cut down the side of his face. He is asleep so I quietly sit down in the chair next to the bed. The doctor comes in a couple minutes later and tells me that I'm going to have to leave soon. they are doing X-rays on his ribs and left arm where they think he broke them. I ask the doctor where the girl is. She tells me that she is in surgery for a major gash in her upper arm and lower leg where she got hit and cut by the glass and metal from the car. I walk outside and Sophie is still in the car waiting. I call my mom and tell her I'm going out for dinner and that I will be home afterwards. "You feeling like eating pizza." I ask Sophie. "definitely." she tells me. We go to dominos and get a medium pizza to go. when we get our pizza and breadsticks we head out to the car. then I drive to the park. We eat and watch the sunset. Afterwards I drop Sophie off at her house and go home. All I can do is lay in bed and wait for the call from Codie's mom telling me he is fine.
