Sakura yanked on Misaki's hair. "Ow! Sakura, that hurts!"

"Sorry Misaki, but hold still and it wouldn't hurt so much!"

Shizuko laughed at the sight. "I can't believe Misaki is going to prom!"

"Shut up, Shizuko! This is the only time! Actually, I might just greet the students then leave!"

"You can't bail on Usui-kun, Misaki! That would be rude! Plus, I want to see Usui-kun and Misaki dance together!"

"Not gonna happen!" All of a sudden, Misaki's surroundings changed. "Huh?" She looked around to find herself in Seika's gym, lights and decorations everywhere. "This is a little overdone . . ."

"Ayuzawa Misaki." Misaki froze. She would know that deep, irritating voice anywhere.

"Usui, where are all the students?" Usui walked over to her in the middle of the gym and wrapped his arms around her.

"It's just us. No one but us." That made Misaki nervous.

"Oh. I see. Well, why are you here anyway?"

"To be with Ayuzawa." Usui pulled her into a slow dance position. With one hand around her waist and the other holding hers, they slowly spun in circles to the quiet music playing. "There's something I want to tell you, Ayuzawa."

"What is it?" Usui looked sad. "What's wrong?" He closed his eyes and set his head on her shoulder. Misaki blushed. "Hey, Takumi . . ."

"I'm breaking up with you, Ayuzawa." Misaki's heart felt like it stopped.

". . . What?"

"I'm breaking up with you." He said the words loud and clear, and even though his face showed no expression now, his voice wavered.

"But . . . why?"

"I'm sorry, but being with you has become a drag." Misaki's eyes widened.

"Takumi . . ." She closed her eyes and buried her face into his shoulder, her heart weighing her down. She couldn't let him see her cry. She didn't want him to know that secretly, this was her biggest weakness. Her biggest fear. Losing Usui . . . she hadn't thought about it before, but now that he had said something like that, so sudden, she realized how sad she was.

"I'm sorry, but I don't want you to hold me back. It's over. Leave me and never come back. I don't want you."

~Out of Misaki's dream~

"Hey, Takumi, Misaki-chan doesn't look so good," Hinata said. Usui looked over at Misaki, and she was shaking.

"She must be having a bad dream." He stood and just as he was about to touch her shoulder, she jumped up, her eyes wide. She looked at Usui, and then quickly looked away.

"Are you alright, Ayuzawa?" She nodded. "Hey, look at me." She resisted.

"I'm fine."

"Ayuzawa." She looked at him, about to cry. Usui's eyes went wide, then pulled her into his arms. "What happened?"

She clung to Usui. It was just a dream, but it scared her. "Shintani, please leave."

"Yes." Hinata left the room, leaving them alone.

"Now, tell me what happened." She didn't want to, yet she did at the same time. She wanted him to understand, but she was so embarrassed. "Ayuzawa, tell me."

"It was just a bad dream, nothing to worry about."

Usui made her look into his eyes. "Don't lie to me."
