The day Sakura graduated the academy was quite possibly the best day of her life. She couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of getting out of that stuffy classroom and out onto the field. Of course, she had enjoyed her time at the academy. She'd learnt many things that the Akatsuki would never have taught her. But after many years doing practical not theory, there was only so much the girl could take.
On the day teams were due to be assigned, she'd arrived in school early. Her clothes were slightly crumpled, her shirt taking the brunt of the disarray. Not just that, but she was pretty sure that the pair of socks she was wearing weren't matching - well, that or one was inside out. That and one of her sandals was awkwardly looser than the other, to the point where it was noticeably uncomfortable, but not so much that it wouldn't look weird stopping to fix it. Smiling despite her interesting clothing choices, the girl skipped into the classroom - not that she would ever admit to it. Either way, the girl arrived to find only the Uchiha brat in the room with her. She scowled at the boy, but didn't let him deter her nor put her in a bad mood. Instead, she opted to instead focus on the very interesting clouds outside.
Focused so deeply on the clouds, Sakura almost didn't notice the boy who leapt onto her back. Shrieking at the unexpected weight on her back, Sakura reached over her shoulder and body-slammed her attacker to the floor. As it would turn out, the boy who now lay in front of her was none other than Kiba. The boy himself was not best impressed by the fact he was now lying stomach up. Akamaru was no help either, teasing the boy for lying in such a defeated position. This prompted the brunette to leap up and tackle the dog who barked in excitement at the prospect of a game. Sakura, now calmer that she was out of danger, laughed obnoxiously at the pair who were chasing each other around the room. The commotion had attracted the attention of none other than Sasuke Uchiha himself who scowled disapprovingly at them.
Naruto had joined them shortly after, his shining headband positioned proudly on his forehead. Now it was Sakura's turn to perform the flying tackle, arms wrapping around the boy's shoulder's as she knocked him over. The thud of the boy's body hitting the floor and the cry of pain emitting from his mouth upon contact with the cold flooring. His hands - which had taken a lot of the pain due to an attempt to reduce impact - were practically glowing red as they alerted Naruto of their displeasure of the brutal treatment they had just received. Sakura, however, was seated rather proudly on the blushing boy's back, Sakura turned to look at the now laughing Kiba. "Shut up Dog-boy, or your next" the threat instantly hushing the previously laughing boy and causing him to instead initiate a conversation with his canine companion.
Naruto looked over his shoulder at the pink-haired girl who laughed at his other friend. The smile on the girl's face was infectious and he couldn't help smiling as well. It was rare that she showed emotion to them, but not impossible. The fact that she was willing to show it now was surprising though.
The sound of feet rumbling drew all eyes towards the door which slammed open revealing a blonde-haired girl, Ino, and a girl with brown hair, Aiko. The two girls shoving each other and tugging at hair as they fought their way over to the seat next to Sasuke. The prospect of irritating the fangirls exciting Sakura as she grabbed the collar of Naruto and flung both of them over the desk, landing on the stools next to the boy. The two girls glowering at the girl before shrieking, "Hey! Get out my seat, Forehead." Sakura stared at the girls, smile gone from her face causing Naruto and Kiba to frown. They'd worked hard for that and now these two girls had ruined it.
Jumping up from his seat, Naruto squatted in front of Sasuke, squinting at the boy, "What do they see in you, Teme?" Sakura turned to face what looked like a disaster in the making. Time seemed to slow as the boy behind Naruto accidentally pushed the boy, "Sorry--" he was cut off by the screaming of the Naruto, "Ew! Ew! Ew! Get it off, I've got UCHIHA germs now!" the emphasis on Uchiha reiterating the boy's disgust for his self-proclaimed rival. The Uchiha himself wiped his mouth before glaring at the melodramatic boy. Sakura, on the other hand, turned to the blonde, grin on her face, "Now now Naruto, I'm sure there are plenty of girls here who would have wanted that kiss so be modest okay. No need to brag about it." Naruto suddenly paled, looking behind Sakura at the rather terrifying girls. The boy chose this moment to fling himself into Sakura's arms like a damsel in distress, "S-save me Sakura." the boy stuttered, blue eyes widened in fright. "Depends, what will I get in return?" Naruto shakily turned to look at her, "A-anything." the moment he said it, he regretted it, but if it meant protection from the fangirls, he knew the deal had to be good. "Done" turning around, the girl gave the girl's a hard glare, "Leave Naruto alone, or I'll take Sasuke's second and third kiss. Then what will you do?" the girls frowned disapprovingly before dispersing around the classroom.
Kiba, however, stood watching the scene from afar, the smile on Sakura's face confusing him. Why was she in such a good mood today? Not that that was a bad thing, of course, she was very scary when in a bad mood, but still...
Either way, the boy was withdrawn from his thoughts when Iruka entered the room. "Hello, then class. Today, we'll be assigning teams."
