"You know it's just been .. it's been really hard without her." Kianna cried & I rubbed her back comforting her .
" Trust me I know ." I replied to her .
As she sniffled the front door unlocked & my boyfriend Kendrick walked in the house .
"Hey Kianna , I didn't know you were here ." He said to my sister .
She quickly wiped her eyes & stood to her feet .
"I was just about to leave , um .." she said & picked up Gianni from her place in the chair on the other half of the room .
She played with the toys I had bought her before Kianna sat her on her hip.
"I'll call you soon sis ." She said & left through the front door closing it behind her .
"What's wrong with Kianna ?" He asked me putting his duffle bag down .
"Family stuff .. " I said & he walked over to me .
His Nike jacket was drenched in sweat & he leaned over me to kiss my lips . I didn't kiss him because of the odor he had on him .
"Kendrick if you don't back the hell up ! Take a shower first !" I said .
I didn't even bother to push him out of the way . I didn't want my hands to be wet .
"Aight man , I'll be back ." He said & grabbed his duffle bag walking up the steps .
On the couch I sat still in my place still thinking about how hard Kianna was taking this whole situation.
She didn't get lucky like I did . After our mother died , I was introduced to Kendrick by a friend . Ever since then , Kendrick & I have had the best connection. He didn't care that I was homeless , no money , no job . He simply loved me for me .
Kendrick helped me get back on my feet . He's the reason why she I'm In the position I'm in now . I'm very thankful for him. If I didn't meet him , my future was very clear . I would've been homeless , & starving .
If I hadn't met Kendrick , I would be able to live with kianna & my grandmother Greta either . My grandmother & I fell out before I wasn't even born . Crazy , right ? How could that even be possible ? I ask myself everyday , & it's not even my fault ..
