Jisoo POVI screamed as Taehyung flung me onto the sofa, my body hitting the armrest with a painful thud. My arms throbbed from the rough handling, but I bit my lip, refusing to show him the pain. He stood over me, his tall frame casting a shadow that felt like it was swallowing me whole.
"I missed you," Taehyung said smoothly, as though we were lovers reunited after a long separation. He poured two glasses of wine, placing one on the table in front of me.
I let out a bitter laugh, sitting upright. "Well, I didn't miss you," I spat. His response was a low, humorless chuckle that sent a shiver down my spine.
"Drink," he commanded, sliding the glass closer to me.
"I want to call Jin," I said abruptly, ignoring his order.
The glass froze in his hand, his grip tightening as the wine sloshed slightly over the edge. Slowly, he set it down and turned his dark, piercing gaze on me. "You're not calling anyone, Princess," he said softly, his voice cold and controlled.
I scoffed, the nickname sparking my anger. "It's been six years, and you're telling me my brothers never came for me? Jin and Namjoon would've found me—if you hadn't interfered."
His lips curled into a sinister smirk. "Oh, they looked for you. But I made sure they didn't find you. You should thank me. Do you know what they would've done if they knew what you'd become?"
I froze, his words striking like a dagger. My heart raced, but I refused to let him see my fear. "I want a divorce," I said, my voice firm.
The smirk vanished. His eyes darkened, and a chilling silence fell over the room. "You what?" he growled, each word dripping with venom.
"I want a divorce," I repeated, louder this time. "I've thought about it years ago, and I'm done. I'm not your property, Taehyung."
He stared at me, his jaw clenched, his fists tightening. Without a word, he suddenly lunged at me, his movements faster than I expected. His hand wrapped around my throat, slamming me back into the sofa.
"You're not leaving me," he hissed, his face inches from mine. His grip tightened, and I clawed at his hand, gasping for air.
"Taehyung!" I choked out, struggling against his hold. My vision blurred as panic consumed me.
Just as I thought I would black out, he released me, shoving me roughly back into the cushions. I coughed violently, clutching my throat as I tried to catch my breath. Tears streamed down my face, but my anger burned brighter than my fear.
"You're insane!" I screamed, launching myself at him in a desperate attempt to fight back. My fists connected with his chest, but he barely flinched. Instead, he grabbed my wrists, twisting them painfully behind my back.
"You think you can fight me?" he growled, slamming me face-first into the coffee table. Pain exploded in my head as the corner of the table split my forehead. Warm blood trickled down my face, blurring my vision.
