Amy : It's christmas you moron

Rory : Come

The doctor passes his hand in his cheek where a tear juste fell. He smiles and closes the door.

In the house there are christmas tinsel and lights everywhere.

The doctor follows the couple in the dinning room where a beautiful table is set for four people.

The doctor : Why do i have two plates ?

Amy : You don't. One of them is for another person.

Doctor : Are you expecting someone ? Who is it ?

Amy : It's christmas, so obviously it's a family member. And We are not ''expecting someone'', this person is already here.

Doctor : Is it Brian ? The doctor asks with hope.

Rory : No, my father is in my uncle's house this year.

Doctor : Too bad, i like him. Is it your parents, amy ? He pauses. Sorry, stupid question, there is only one plate.

Amy [in a sarcastic way] : Very good sherlock. Beside that, they are on a trip for their vacation.

Doctor : Do I know this person ?

Rory : Well you've met everybody at our wedding so ...

Amy interrompt him.

Amy : But she is not a wedding person.

Doctor : Is it Riv..

He didn't have the time to finish his question that River enters the room wearing a beautiful, long blue dress and a sassy smile.

River : Hello sweetie.

Doctor : River, have you told your parents I wasn't dead ?!

River : Well they are my parents, and they were sad, what else should i do ? She replied calmly.

Doctor : It was a secret, a wedding secret.

Amy : Hey ! This is not a way to speak to my daughter, to your wife. She did the right thing and you didn't even say hello, How rude !

Doctor : But Amy...

Amy : No ''but''. You go kiss her and Rory and I will go in the kitchen finishing the dinner.

The way she speaks, they all understand that this was not a suggestion . River and Rory smiled, that was so like Amy. They both have the same smile, a true one.

Amy and Rory leaves the room

The doctor take a step and one more and one again and kiss her with a passionate kiss.

River : i missed you

Doctor : me too

They look at each other for a moment.

River : Have you cried ?

Doctor : What ?

River : Your eyes, you've cried

Doctor : No i didn't

River : oh you strong and powerful time lord, you cry when you see my parents after a too long and discovers that they keep a seat at the dinner table for you every year. You cry of joy. So humain.

She was teasing him, obviously.

Doctor : No I didn't !

River : Come on, i know you. But it's ok, it's kind of cute actually

Doctor : Fine... Yes I cried. How do you know me so well ?

River : I'm your wife

Doctor : True.

He smiles and kisses her, a soft kiss this time.

Amy and Rory both come back from the kitchen, Rory holding a plate.

Amy : Better. Now shall we ? We have a christmas dinner to eat
