What was the last thing I remember? Falling asleep? No, I don't remember making it back to my loft. My head was throbbing, where was I? All these questions ran through my head at a million miles an hour. I finally began to come to, waking up from what had to be the most pitiful sleep. I sat up on, a couch? I held my head in my hands, waiting for the dizziness that came after naps to pass. I lifted my head and looked around. My heart sunk, I had no idea where I was. It was somebody else's loft, it was surprisingly....immaculate. All black and gray, but no personal touch, as if they didn't actually live here. I looked at my body and clothing. It was the same thing I remember wearing to work. Wait! What time was it? I looked around frantically for my bag, my phone. Where was it!? Suddenly I heard footsteps coming up to the door, I dashed and hid behind whoever's loft this was's counter, forgetting all about my bag. The keys jangled in the door and it slowly opened, someone stepped in, closing the door. I held my breath behind the counter, too scared to move. Whoever entered the house put the keys, and something else on the counter I was hiding behind. The footsteps stopped, I began to peek over the counter, I didn't see anyone, maybe I could make it to the door?
"What are you doing?" A voice called out from next to me.
I yelped and fell back onto my butt. I hissed in pain and looked up at the voice. It was the handsome man from last night. His face was surprisingly kind right now. I looked at his face some more, studying it. His single green eye was beautiful. Emerald green hues wrapped around his pupil, leaving shades of forest green and ocean blue to dance in the light. His other eye, was some how just as beautiful. A monochrome of pale blue and white, his dark eyelashes made the paleness stand out even more, especially with his dark hair. His eyes somehow unintentionally captivated me, hypnotizing me even. The man squatted down in front of me, breaking my hypnosis.
"I asked you what you were doing." He mused, smiling a little.
"Ah! U....uh...where am I?" I asked blushing crimson. My ears felt like they were on fire.
The man smiled, standing up again, he walked over to his door and slipped his shoes off. I stood up nervously, my face still hot. He walked over and sat on one of the couches that faced one another. I looked at him for awhile, it was pure silence. It finally broke when he called out to me. He whistled a little and said.
"Why don't you come sit?"
It wasn't really a question as much as an order. I timidly walked over to the couch, sitting down on the one across from him. I looked at the floor and waited for him to speak, I was still really scared. This was the same man from last night, and why can't I remember what happened? The man pulled me from my thoughts once again.
"I'll strike you a deal, you can ask as many questions as you want, if you keep me company today, how's that?" He asked.
Who does he think he is making me a deal, when I was the one kidnapped? Or at least I think thats what happened. I interlaced my fingers together and put them on my knees. I glared at my hands, slightly angry. I look back up at him, the glare still plastered on my face.
"Fine." I mumbled.
"Great, fire away cutie." He said, crossing one leg over the other, resting his foot on his knee.
Did, he really just call me that? My ears burned again, this time not in embarrassment, but in annoyance.
"Why did you call me that?" I said, a little meaner than I intended.
"Because I think you're cute, especially that face you made at me." He grinned.
I swallowed hard, he was so handsome.
