Adventure in Alola (Male Reader)

Chapter 4

Right now, everyone was watching Ash as he tried his second time at catching an Alola pokemon.

"Grubbin, the Larva Pokemon. A Bug-type, Grubbin scrapes trees with its large jaws and drinks their sap. It makes its home underground. Ash! Did you hear that?" Rotom Dex asked him.

"Sure did. Got it covered, Rotom!" Ash assured as Grubbin used string shot. "Pikachu, jump up!" Pikachu jumped, missing the string shot that almost hit Ash. "Alright, use thunderbolt!" The attack hit the Grubbin directly. The Grubbin was heavily damaged as Ash threw a Pokeball at it. Grubbin went into the Pokeball as everyone waited to see if Grubbin would stay in there.

"Will he catch it?" Kiawe asked while watching.

"Who knows?" You said as Grubbin popped out of the Pokeball and dug straight into the ground. "That's disappointing."

"Too bad." Mallow said in disappointment.

"He was so close." Lana said as she slumped her shoulders. The wild Grubbin then started digging around until coming to a stop.

"Quick Pikachu, aim where Grubbin is about to come out and then use Quick Attack!" Pikachu git ready for when Grubbin would come out of the ground. Everyone watched intently for that moment when all of a sudden the ground behind you and the others exploded. The wild Grubbin jumped out of the hole causing Lillie screamed in fear as she hid behind you and Mallow.

"You sure know how to get scared." Mallow said with a sheepish smile.

"I am not scared." Lillie said trying to put on a brave act.

"You could have fooled me." You said sarcastically.

"I'm not!" Lillie restated. "I love to research Pokemon! It's just I..." She is interrupted by the battle continuing as Pikachu used quick attack to get closer to Grubbin. Grubbin used string shot, forcing all of you to dodge them or be hit. Grubbin eventually caught Pikachu by the leg.

"Pikachu!" Ash calls out worried.

"Watch out for its powerful jaws!" Rotom Dex warns as Grubbin closes in on Pikachu. Pikachu dodges getting clamped down by turning its body to the side. Grubbin instead hit Pikachu in the face with one of its pincers. Grubbin then flew past Pikachu then buried itself back underground and escaping.

"Pikachu! Are you ok?" Ash asks while rushing to Pikachu's side. Ash picks up Pikachu while everyone looks worried about Pikachu.

"I'm so sorry." Lillie apologizes about what happens.

"I'll take you to the Pokemon Center now!" Mallow offers.

"A Pokemon center would be great, so, lead the way, Mallow." Ash said, accepting Mallow's offer. "And don't you worry Lillie."

"And, Ash, we'll go back to school and tell Professor Kukui what happened, all right?" Kiawe told him.

"Thanks, Kiawe." Ash said as he and Mallow ran to the nearest Pokemon center.

Meanwhile

Sitting in a hollowed-out tree trunk was Team Rocket as Jessie was throwing a Pokeball in the air and catching as she looked at Mimikyu in frustration. She throws a Pokeball at Mimikyu who deflects it with its tail.

"This time for sure!" She said while throwing another Pokeball, which Mimikyu deflected again. "Look Mimikyu! You're the one who wanted to help us, so let me catch you!"

"Of course it's gonna be pretty hard to catch because it's not tired one bit." Meowth said as he and Wobbufett relaxed on a bed of leaves.

"Don't you get that I'm trying to catch that Mimikyu because you guys can't beat that Bewear?" Jessie yelled at the others about the Bewear walking around outside. "If we don't get out of here quick, we're going to end up on that Bewear's smackdown schedule!" Jessie said while pointed at the Bewear who was stretching while yawning.
