Apartment Fire Case [Seventeen]

Chapter 18

"Okay I'm going to go back to the hospital, Chan let's go." Jeonghan said leaving the house with Chan.

Jihoon eyeing at Seungcheol, making Seungcheol follow Jeonghan and Chan out the house. He got out of the house seeing Jeonghan and Chan already leaving, he quickly got into Jihoon's car and drove behind.

Jeonghan and Chan arrived at the hospital, walking back to see Jisoo and Seokmin again after leaving his phone behind with Hansol. They walked in Seokmin and Jisoo's room, seeing Seungkwan sitting right there.

"Seungkwan hyung?" Chan said.

"Dino, how is it going with Hansol and the others." Seungkwan said, saying Chan's nickname and bowing at their appearance in the room.

"It's going fine, what happened to you? I didn't see you when I came over and was told you moved out to live with Wonwoo hyung and the other hyungs." Chan said, forgetting that Seokmin, Jisoo and Jeonghan was in the room.

"I moved out with Wonwoo hyung so I could be a little closer to the airport, I'm planning going back to Jeju for a few days." Seungkwan said.

Chan nodded and looked over at Jisoo and Seokmin, seeing that they were talking to Jeonghan about what's going on. Chan continued talking with Seungkwan catching him up with what's was their plan.

Meanwhile, Seungcheol was outside of their room watching them through the window, only hearing inaudible words. He was texting Jihoon only about hearing inaudible words.

Jihoon: Okay, there's a spot near the CCTV I want you to check out, it's not far from the hospital, I'll meet you there soon. If they going to stay there, it won't be anything suspicious about Jeonghan anyways.

Seungcheol: Okay, I'll see you then.

Jihoon sent Seungcheol the address of the spot near one of the CCTVs, it was only a few turns from the hospital by foot. Seungcheol headed out and headed towards the direction.

After a few turns, he arrived and looked around the area. As he was roaming around, he found Jihoon sitting on the bench that's next to the CCTV camera. He walked over to him and greeted him.

"Found or feel anything off around this area?" Jihoon asked.

"Nothing why?" Seungcheol asked.

"From this CCTV camera, that man walked towards where you came from. Was there any places you think he went to?" Jihoon said pointing to the camera then pointed to where Seungcheol came from.

"Chances of the train station I walked by or the apartment complex next to the station?" Seungcheol said unsure of where the man can be hiding.

"Okay. Let's start with the train station, it have cameras in there." Jihoon said, standing up. "Lead the way hyung."

Seungcheol nodded and headed back to the train station with Jihoon following behind.

Seungcheol and Jihoon got to the station after a few turns, looking around the place before going into the station. They entered the station, looking for a staff employee. They walked through the busy station, finding an security officer.

"Excuse me sir, can we see the security cameras here?" Jihoon said, showing his ID to the officer. The officer nodded and lead the two to the room to security offices.

They thanked the officer, letting him go back to his shift. Jihoon got on the computer and rewind the footage to yesterday. They watched the screen as the time the man walked in was midnight, walking down to where the staff members would only enter the room. Jihoon rewinds the footage then took his phone out and record the screen, to send for Wonwoo.

Meanwhile, Jeonghan also called in Mingyu to visit Jisoo and Seokmin. They greeted Mingyu when he entered the room.

"Hey Mingyu-ah, I got a question." Jeonghan asked.

"What's up?" Mingyu said.

"The stab wounds Jisoo and Seokmin got, are they like similar to the previous victims?" Jeonghan asked.  

"Not where they got stabbed but yeah, since it was a pocketknife that was used."  Mingyu answered.

"Really?" Jeonghan said.

"Besides Yang WonIl's, yeah they're similar." Mingyu said.

"So he's off the list?" Jeonghan asked.

"For me, he is, but I don't know about Wonwoo hyung." Mingyu responded.

"Oh okay, is he in his office right now?" Jeonghan said.

"He probably is, you're going to visit him?" Mingyu asked.

"Of course." Jeonghan said, heading towards the exit.

Jeonghan left the hospital and headed towards one direction. As he was walking, a man eventually bumped into him, not apologizing but continued walking away. Jeonghan watched the man walked away. He examined the man before continuing his way to Wonwoo's office.

Jeonghan knocked on the door, then slightly opening the door to see Wonwoo looking through the files. Jeonghan closed the door quietly and pulled over a chair to Wonwoo's desk.

"What's the information you got today hyung?" Wonwoo said looking up from his files.

"WonIl is marked off for the case." Jeonghan said.

"Why?" Wonwoo asked, putting the files on the desk.

"Did you question him about the mallet, that was found in the apartment complex? Or anything that's related to that scene?" Jeonghan asked.

"You were there, you know he is lying right there when I mentioned that." Wonwoo responded.

"Did you check the corpse at least?" Jeonghan said.

"Of course the skull is crushed by the mallet, the neck was slashed, leaving that person to die." Wonwoo stated.

"What did WonIl do in his past crimes? He only cut their necks." Jeonghan responded. "Why would he decide to add a mallet into his crimes."

That question kept Wonwoo quiet for a while, Jeonghan was just looking at his phone after saying the last question. Wonwoo's phone started to ring. Jeonghan looked up and saw Seungcheol's name. 

"Where's Seungcheol at?" Jeonghan asked as Wonwoo picked up the phone.
