As our posse trooped back to the main group, I saw Roryn glancing at me in concern.

"What?" I snapped. Roryn sighed.

"How did you not notice your shoulder gushing blood?" I looked at my arm.

"Yeah, that may be a problem." Ith shook her head.

"One day you're gonna fall apart at the seems Lily." I glared.

"And one day you're gonna change into an old lady that loves bats." Legolas stared ahead completely ignoring us. "Hey Legolas, ignoring us is not going to help." Legolas just kept ignoring us. "Oi! Blondie! I'm talking to you!" Legolas glared at me.

"Yes?"

"What are we going to do when we reach Helms Deep?"

"Fight the orks attacking of course."

"Oh really, I didn't know that!" I snapped. Ith placed a hand on my good arm.

"Um, Lily, you seem kind of stressed. Please, calm yourself." I took a deep breath.

"Sorry, it's just, Aragorn..." Ith smiled sadly.

"I miss him to. We all do." We all fell silent and I knew we were all rethinking about our memories of him.

The time we talked about fear... How he saved my life a bajillion times... Good times. I smiled as I fell back on the recollections of the past three mouths.

We reached Helms Deep a little before nightfall. We had bandaged my shoulder on the road. I felt ready to drop and almost did. Right on Ith's head. Roryn caught my arm and I steadied.

"T-thanks." A slow blush crept up my cheeks. I felt my heart do a backflip. I pulled my arm away. I could not feel this way! Me, and elf with no rank, liking the son of a Baron!?!(Which, he told me a few days ago.) It was forbidden. It was wrong.

I hated my heart doing its stupid happy dance when I was near him. I hated my cheeks flushing when ever we touched. I hated my head going fuzzy when he was around. I made a resolution. Keep my feeling secret. Never tell Roryn. And I hated myself for it.
