(3) Luna and Pidge: Their story

14 years ago.

"Pigeon!" A 6 year old Lance yelled excitedly. "hewo Lanth!". 5 year old Katie said, hugging her friend.

The 2 had just started Kindergarten. They had been best friends for all of 4 months, since they met in Preschool.

Upon  their first meeting, Lance and Katie had said hi and immediately became friends. Katie had a lisp, so she called Lance "Lanth".

One day, they were swinging on the preschools little playground. The two were pretty high up when Katie almost fell off. She leaned a little to far forward, causing the girl to scream and shake her arms violently, trying to grasp the chains.

Lance, having watched an episode of Wild Kratts before school, thought his friend's sounds of distress and movements of panic sounded and looked like that of a pigeon.

After Katie steadied herself, the two got off the swing set and went to sit near the sand pit. "You sounded like a pigeon" Lance giggled. "A pigoon?" Katie asked. "Its a bird, I watched a video about them this morning" He said. "I'm gonna call you pigeon". Katie smiled and hugged the older.

And 4 months later, the 2 were finally in Kindergarten.

"Pigeon! This is my twin thister" He said with a lisp "this is Luna. Luna this is pigeon". "Hola" the girl said. "What's she speaking?". Katie asked. Lance said it was spanish. "Luna, Lance,¿qué estás haciendo?" Their mother came over. "Its time to meet your teacher!". "Katie, dearest lets go."  Katie's mother said, picking up the small girl. "Oh my gosh, you must be Lance". The lady said, causing the boy to smile and nod. "Katie's told me a lot about you" she smiled. The Latina told her kids to go meet their teacher with their Papa, and, of course, Katie went that way, considering her Dad and her brother were that way anyway. "I'm Colleen Holt, Katie's Mom". "I'm Alejandra McClain, Lance and Luna's Mom. Say, isn't your son, Matt, in Mr. Johnson's Class?". The blonde nodded. "My daughter, Veronica is in his class". "Wow, what are the odds of that". The 2 woman, just like their kids, instantly became close friends,

As the years went on, Luna and Katie got closer and Lance and Katie drifted apart. In 4th grade, Luna and Katie were walking around the playground, trying to think of something to play or do. "Pidge?" Luna suddenly asked. Katie looked her, with a puzzled look on her face. "Pidge?" She asked. "Yea, Y'know, Lance always called you Pigeon but that's a little long, also I think Pidge suites you.". Katie smiled "I like it".

From that moment on, she was never called Katie, only her parents, Lance, Luna, and Hunk could call her that. (Hunk was a friend they had made in 3rd grade. He was large but very kind) Everyone called her Pidge, teachers, friends, everyone. She loved it.

Lance and Hunk had started to hang out with these boys, Shiro and Keith. Luna and Pidge didn't mind, they could spend their whole lives together for all they care.

Of course, it wasn't always smooth sailing.

Freshman year had finally dawned apon the group. The group was the outcasts of Middle School. High School was gonna be different. But Boy were they wrong.

Keith and his Sister, joined the Emo squad. Not the tippy top of the chain but not all the way down in the dumps.

And here was the kicker, Middle School was like an animal world, a kingdom of beast fighting over each other. However now, it was all girl world, Pidge was not ready for that.

Like almost any High School Drama, there were 3 girls that all the guys wanted to date. All girls wanted to be. And all of everybody hated.

Stephanie Woo. An actual air balloon. She is the stupidest person the world has ever had. However, her Dad is rich so she is somehow in High School.

Madeliane Creamer . A snarky, sassy, somewhat curvy girl. Her Dad owns the national ice cream factory "Creamer's Creams". Somehow she's still thin, in most areas, people want to know her secret.

And finally, the Queen bee that has every boy,girl, teacher, and animal wrapped around her little finger.

Valentina María José Hernández.
She was the biggest bitch you'd ever meet. She bullied just about everyone. She was dating Lotor at the time. The principal's son. She was actually treated like a queen.

So any thing and everything bad she did went mainly went unnoticed by the Princpal. But of course, Lotor's mother, the Vice Principal, convinced her husband to give Valentina small punishments for things she did. Which, in Pidge's opinion, was stupid cause when anyone else did these things, they'd have to clean the boiler room. And Any student who's had to go through that, says they'd rather have the death penalty.

The boiler was broken, and it smelled awful. Pouring 'goo'y liquid just about everywhere. The school had enough money to pay for it. But they wanted to spend it on more "important things".
You'd know the boiler was having an eruption when the whole school began to shake. Thankfully, they fixed at the end of Pidge's Sophmore year.

Back to actual plot, Luna ended up joining the popular group. With Stephanie, Madelaine, Valentina, Lotor and others, causing Pidge to loose touch with her and become close Lance and Hunk once again,getting to know Shiro and this new girl, Allura, whom she got close to over time. Allura's older brother, Coran, happened to be friends with Pidge and Lance's older siblings, Matt and Veronica. And that kid named Keith who was obvoisly head over heels in love with Lance. Then he went to the emos and well, you know that story.

However, During the battle of the bands, Pidge and Luna started taking again, again eventually fell in love.

They started dating, and once school was over, moved in together. And the 2 decided they wanted kids, even though they were very young. So they got Matt to be the doner for them but there was a very little chance if it working.

One night, the 2 were on a picnic date out under the stairs when Pidge said. "Babe, I need to ask you something". Luna nodded, "I need to tell you something but you". Pidge helped her taller girlfriend up and said.

"Luna. You are my everything, we've been through so much together. You make me so happy, I love you so much and even if this baby doesn't work, we can adopt, but I want a life with you. Which is why now I'm asking you" she took a little red box of her pocket and knelt down, opening it. " Luna McClain, will you make me the happiest woman alive and marry me?".

By now, Luna was in tears, she quickly nodded, and squealed "yes!". Pidge slid the ring on her now Fianceé's finger and kissed her.

After a moment they pulled apart "what did you need to tell me?" Pidge asked,

Luna, still in tears, looked in her lover's eyes and said "I'm pregnant".
Pidge's eyes widened " what?"
"Oh my God" Pidge placed her hands on Luna's stomach "
"I'm pregnant with our child."

"I love you so much. Luna"

" I love you too, Pidge, so much"
