Lightning strike at it's loudest that it ever could. Cody Carson was caught up in the wildest storms in history. He struggled as he tried to move and that's when he saw a figure in the distance.
"Help!" Cody yelled at the top of his lungs.
As the figure got closer, Cody saw the person more clearly. He was about six feet tall holding a chainsaw. Cody looked at the man towering over him in shock.
"I don't think anyone is going to help you," the man said as he started the chainsaw.
Cody turned around and fought the storm trying to get away from the man, but it was no use. The man grabbed Cody by the back of his shirt collar and held him in the air.
"I wish it didn't have to end this way, Cody," the man threw Cody on the ground.
"What do you mean? Who are you? How do you know my name?"
The man put his chainsaw to Cody's throat. "Less questions. More slicing."
The man shoved the chainsaw into Cody's throat, and that's when Cody woke up yelling with a cold sweet. His breathing and his heart beat was too fast to imagine.
Maxx came into the room quickly making his way to Cody's bed. Maxx was worried about Cody.
"Cody, are you okay? What the fuck happened?"
Zach and Dan stood in the doorway staring at Cody.
"It was just a nightmare. I'm fine," Cody lied.
He was scared to death. He never had a nightmare like that. Cody looked out the window and saw the pouring rain hitting hard in the glass.
Maxx put his hand on Cody's shoulder. "You sure you're okay? You don't look to okay."
"It was just a nightmare," Cody replied. "I'll be okay. Just go back to sleep."
Cody looked at Dan and Zach, "All three of you."
Zach and Dan looked at each other knowing something was wrong.
Maxx turned around, "Come on guys, let's go. Cody said he'll be fine."
Maxx, Dan, and Zach left Cody alone in the room. Cody laid back down in his bed not being able to fall back to sleep. He made his way down the stairs to the kitchen. All the lights were off. Cody stared into the kitchen seeing a dark figure in the shadows. Cody started to panic.
"No no no no no," Cody backed up from the doorway.
At that moment, he started to hear a chainsaw from the kitchen. He looked a deep breath and turned on the light. There was no one there.
Cody gave a little laugh. "Great. I'm seeing things again."
*Meanwhile upstairs*
"Why would Cody lie about being okay?" Dan questioned.
"It's probably something that happened in the nightmare," Zach replied.
"Cody wouldn't keep anything from us. We have to know what going on in his head."
"And how are we supposed to do that, Dan? It's not like we can just force it out of him."
"We don't have to. We can get Maxx to talk to Cody. They're really close."
"If Cody wanted Maxx to know, he would of told him when he was in the room with him."
Dan shook his head, "Cody didn't tell him because we were in the room with them."
"What if Maxx doesn't do it? What then?"
"We'll think of something."
