"Elli!"
"What, Kasey?"
"What is he doing here?"
"Who?"
"Sammy!"
"How should I know?"
"I don't know. Maybe because you're the reason he broke up with me?!"
"Kasey, I already told you. I had nothing to do with that. I would never do something like that to you. If he's here, it's not for me."
"Well, get rid of him. Please?"
"You know I will, Kasey."
I went to the front door and opened to see Kasey's ex boyfriend, Sam.
"What are you doing here, Sam?"
"I came to see you."
"Right. Look, I've already told you. I'm not going to date you."
"Please, Elliana. I really like you."
"And I really don't care. Kasey means more to me than some guy."
"You can't be serious."
"I am. So leave."
"One day, Elliana. One day, you will give in to me and date me."
"Yeah. Sure. I'll pretend that'll happen. Bye, Sam."
Sam walks off, probably heading back to his dorm.
Kasey comes out onto the front porch.
"Thanks. Did you really mean that?"
"Of course. Kasey, Sam is just some guy. You're my best friend."
"True."
"Come on. Let's go get ready."
Kasey and I went back inside to get ready to go out to eat with our friends.
