"Mama!" I screamed, kicking my legs. I saw her being pulled away from me. "My baby!" She yelled back trying to get away from the man holding her. The man holding me, threw me into a room, with another little girl, crying as well. We both knew instantly that these men were bad. They took us away. "Mama!" I yelled, again, but I didn't hear her this time. The other girl yelled for her mom as well. I wiped the tears running down my face, as everything around me went black.

I wake up in a cold sweat, breathing hard, my yellow bed sheets drenched in sweat. That wasn't a dream, I realize, it was a memory. I keep re-dreaming the memory.  I look over at the girl next to me, she is still asleep. I scratch the back of my neck. The tattoo has been itchy since I got it. I look at it in the mirror that's behind my bed. 113, it reads. I sigh and get out of bed. I change into a new gown. I sigh, again, because all of them look the same. Delilah, the girl, has the same one on. We have no shoes or socks. I walk out of the room, and I see men in black walking around. I walk to the room with the rainbow on it, and I see a man in there, cleaning up our stuff. "You're up early, Subject One Hundred Thirteen."

"My name is Luna," I growl. He turns to look at me, "I told you, many times, you are the 113th one, so you are now named Subject One Hundred Thirteen." I scoff and walk out going back to my bedroom. When I get there, Delilah has woken up. We are both 14, now. We have been here for 13 years. She gives me a halfhearted smile. We hate it here. We call each other by our real names, so we don't forget. She is number 114. So, they call her Subject One Hundred Fourteen. I sit next to her, as her eyes trail to my bed. "Another one?" She whispers. I nod. "The same one." She has long strawberry blonde hair, and I have short faded out red hair. It's not dyed, but I think Papa had red hair. Mama had brown hair.

I look into Delilah's deep blue eyes. She looks into my green ones. The intercom turns on and makes us both jump, "Subject One Hundred Thirteen, and One Hundred Fourteen, please go to your designated testing room." I grab her hand, and we walk down the long white hallway. A man comes by and looks at our hands, "Ladies, let go, you know that is wrong." I stick out my tongue like a child and keep moving, and Delilah giggles. I give a deep sigh but smile at the girl next to me.

The main doctor, we call him Gen, tells us that we are special and we have powers. Delilah can grow plants out of her arms, make plants grow, and telepathy, but, when she does it for too long her iris grows a lot, but Gen says it's natural. Delilah told me I do the same thing when I do my powers, which is teleportation and telekinesis. I can only travel about 100 feet when I teleport, but that can go a long way, I guess. If I try and teleport beyond 100 feet my head feels fuzzy, and I want to faint. A hard smack to my hand brings me out of thought and into pain. I jerk away from the stick, hold my hand to my chest. "No holding hands, guys," Gen states, for the millionth time.

Me and Delilah go into our testing room and sit in the chairs. We face a double-sided mirror. I breathe out gently and wait for further instruction. Gen came in, oddly enough. He's never done this before, and Delilah has confusion written all over her face. He grabs Delilah's arm, "We are doing something different today!" He exclaims. I watch as he drags my best friend, technically my only friend, out of the room. I glare at the mirror, knowing they are watching me. The mirror switches to a mirror and it makes me jump. I look to the door and see it's not locked, but I see Gen's head shake.

"Teleport." He says over the intercom, this time I shake my head. The expression on his face switches to annoyed. I look at Delilah who is watching me. I have never done anything without her. My breathing gets heavy as I close my eyes, and imagine myself outside of the room, and I open my eyes, and I am in the room Gen is in. He looks at me with anger, and I feel my head spin. He grabs my arm, but I close my eyes and suddenly I am next to Delilah, and my head spins, again. The doctors are getting impatient. Gen looks at me, and I read his face. "Not without her," I yell. We stare at each other, fury in both our eyes. "Fine," He agrees. We both walk back to the room, and he locks the door this time, so I can't teleport out. The window goes back into the familiar mirror. Gen goes on the intercom again, "Teleport to the mirror, and try to stay in the phase between, and contact something, in time. Understand?" I wait for a second, processing what he said. "Yes," I say, coldly.

I grab Delilah's hand and close my eyes. I teleport but I stop in the middle of getting to the mirror. I open my eyes and everything is white. It feels like I am floating, but my feet are firm on the ground, but it is white as well. It seems there are no shadows at all. I start to walk around, but it's like I am going nowhere. I break into a run, but nothing is happening. I feel wet tears running down my cheeks and I keep running. "Delilah?!" I yell. There is no answer. "Someone!" I yell, "Anyone!" I turn and run in a different direction, but it all looks the same. I sit on the ground, put my hands to my ears. Even though Gen told me it was dangerous to do this,

I scream.
