It’s six o’clock and you are lying wide awake in your bed. You look to the empty place beside you. Luke has been out with some friends. You didn’t feel like it so he went alone. You always sleep bad when Luke is gone, but now he hasn’t texted you and he normally doesn’t stay out so late. So go get out of bed and go to the kitchen. You just made yourself a cup of tea when you hear stumbling in the living room.
“Luke?”
“Hey baby.” He wobbles over to you, placing his arms around you.
“No Luke don’t.” You can smell the alcohol around him.
“Don’t be such a little bitch.”
“Luke, you are drunk.”
“Come one just give me a kiss.” He moves closer and when he wants to kiss you, you move your head so his lips end up on your cheek. “Why are you being like that? First you don’t come and now you don’t let me kiss you.”
You move back from him. “I just don’t like it when you’re drunk.”
“Live a bit and give me a kiss.” He grabs you by your upper arms, his fingers dig into your skin, bruising it.
“Luke.” You whine. “It hurts.” But he doesn’t listen and forces his lips on yours, kissing you rough. You manage to loosen his grips and you push him away.
“Why are you being such a bitch?” He snaps.
“Why are you being such an asshole?”
“You don’t want to kiss me, you don’t want to party with me! Was there someone else here? Is it that? Are you seeing someone else?”
“Of course not! How can you even think that? You are such a dick.” You walk past him, having enough of his drunk rage.
“Where do you think you are going?” He grabs your hand and makes you turn around.
“To bed. Because I haven’t slept all night, worrying about you.”
“Yeah right. Sure someone else didn’t keep you up?”
“Luke!”
“What, don’t tell me you’re not a little whore.”
“I’m not, you jerk.” You push him against his chest. “I hate you.”
“Oh now you hate me. You disgust me and you don’t just walk away form me.” You feel your cheek heat up, a tingly feeling is spreading over your cheek. You grab your cheek, feeling the pain. Tears in your eyes, you look at Luke. “Babe.” His drunk haze is gone in an instant. He moves closer to you, but you back away. “Babe, I’m sorry, I don’t …”
You quickly move past him and run to your bedroom. You lock the door behind you. Luke only a couple of steps behind you.
“(Y/N)! Come on! Please! I’m sorry!” He bangs on the door.
You feel the tears running over your face. “Luke leave me alone.”
“No, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that!”
He keeps knocking on your door for a good half hour, before it becomes silent. You lay yourself down on your bed and wrap yourself in your blankets. After an hour of crying your feel yourself doze off, until the banging begins again. “(Y/N) open this fucking door! I mean it! Open the door, I’ll knock it down if I have too!” Luke burbles. You can hear that he has been drinking again. “(Y/N), shit! Open up! God dammit!”
You take your phone. “Calum? Can you come please?”
“(Y/N)? What’s wrong?”
“Please, just come.” Your voice is breaking when you hear Luke bang on the door.
“What is going on there?”
“(Y/N)! Open the door!” Luke is shouting.
“Cal please?”
“I’m coming.”
Only a couple of minutes later you hear Calum’s voice on the other side of the door. “Luke? What is going one?”
“She won’t open the fucking door.”
“You go with Mike.”
“No!”
“Yes.” You hear some stumbling. “(Y/N)? He’s gone can you open the door?”
You slowly unlock the door. You see Calum stand in front of you door, his eyes widen and his jaw drops. “What is this.” He gently runs his finger along your cheek. His touch makes you cringe form pain. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s not your fault.”
“Did he do this?”
You slowly nod yes. “Can I come with you?”
“Of course.” He wraps his arm around you and pulls you with him. When you walk into the living room, you see Michael’s and Luke’s eyes rest on your cheek.
“(Y/N), baby, I’m sorry. Don’t go.” Luke has tears in his eyes.
“She’s coming with me and Michael is staying with you.” Calum pulls you with him to the front door, you look back one last time, Luke is looking at you. His eyes are begging you not to go, but you keep walking.
