Gabriel.Five centuries ago*
Bodies upon bodies piled on top of one another like a grizzly version of pancakes. Eyes rolled to the back of their heads as life left some, while others gasped for the last breaths.
Death and blood were strong in the air. The silence in the air was similar to the silence of the grave. Gabriel had been perched on a boulder as he overlooked the monstrous human disaster and tragedy he had caused. A malicious smirk made its way to his smooth mouth, his intimidating eyes continued to roam his tardy work.
The sight of gore and bodies would've had any being regurgitate their insides. However, for Gabriel, he was almost too proud of his actions. He did feel the need to give them props for at least fighting for their lives. In all his missions, these people were the first to make Gabriel break a single sweat.
He didn't endure several hour-long flights through a private jet just for the mission to be child's play. He appreciated the effort from those that no longer have a say. As gruesome as it sounded, it was true.
Gabriel unbuttoned the first few buttons of his dress shirt, yet he noticed it was best to discard the rest of the shirt, due to it losing its original white colour to crimson. His dark tank shirt was beneath however Gabriel could still see the blood has been transparent through the shirt to his undergarments.
Irritation schooled his features, he hated getting messy when it comes to doing what he does best,
Killing.
A rumble of footsteps was heard behind Gabriel, yet he lazily stared at the horizon while he slowly crouched back to his boulder. Like a predator watching his dozens amount of lifeless prey.
"Stand down your Highness!" A gruff voice that belonged to the Court's Chief General of the Army. His loud voice was the beacon in the deathly silence that lingered in the open yard. Gabriel took his time adjusting the watch on his wrist before, he turned and looked at the Chief—nothing but dozens of army warriors that stood behind as back up.
Gabriel knew that they needed a whole lot more to even stand a shred of chance against him. However that wasn't his intention, killing them off wasn't part of the plan or mission at that. He was expecting their presence awhile ago. He left them a trail of bodies in his wake, they should've found him sooner. His frown deepened, patience wasn't exactly his best forte.
"What brings you here gentlemen?" Gabriel's voice broke the silence for the second time. The fact that Gabriel knew exactly why they were here, was part of the act.
"Your Highness," Chief bowed his head. Gabriel ignored his show of respect. He admired how he could kill effortlessly and still be seen above them.
"The Court of Elders have requested your presence due to your actions against..." Gabriel watched the Chief look over the open yard of many bodies. Gabriel didn't miss the fear that bestowed not only the General but the rest of the soldiers. As much as they try to cover their open fear with an intimidating stance, Gabriel can still smell it.
