A/N: this is the sequel to The Third Wife. It hasn't be edited. I wrote it in just about 15 minutes. Tell me what you think and if Beatrice should go back to the castle.
It had been six months since I had left the castle. I still missed my old life and Jane, but I am enjoying it here at my cottage. My vegetable garden is coming along well and I have had a change to ride some of my new horses. There is a very handsome, young stable lad that I have falling madly in love with, but I know father would never agree to getting married. Perhaps I should run away with him. No, there would be no chance that we would survive in the forest. Anyway there were more important things to worry about, with my father coming for tea. Someone knocked loudly at the door. Who could it be? I was not excepting him till tonight. I opened the door to see a young man, not much older then I was.
"Hello, what can I do for you?" I ask.
"I'm here to deliver this letter to Beatrice," he replied.
"Yes that is me"
He handed me a letter. I turned it over to see who it was from. It had the royal stamp. Could it be King Henry VIII? No! It couldn't be. Why would he want to see me?
"Thank you, have a good day" I said before waving good bye.
"You to madam"
I returned to the kitchen, not knowing if I should open the letter or not. I stared at the letter before deciding to open it. What was the worst The King could say?
To my darling Beatrice,
It has been some time since I have see you and I have dearly missed you here at the castle. My physician is looking for someone to continue his work, while he travels. You were the first person I could think of a such short notice. I hope you consider this opportunity. Please let me know within a few days.
For yours truly
The King
Become a physician! It was something that I never thought of. Going back to the castle would be wonderful, but all the memories of Jane. Could I do it?
