The Physician gave James and I lessons for 4 days. As each lesson went by it became harder to concentrate. James kept looking at me through all of the lessons, making me blush. I tried hard to ignore it but it was too hard. In our last lesson I decided to confront him about it.
"James I couldn't help but notice that you always look at me during the lessons," I questioned. The Physician had just gone at of the room to collect some more herbs. James blushed slightly.
"It's just that your are so pretty when you are working," he replied.
He started to lean over to kiss me. I didn't know what to do. Sure I had kissed a few boys at court, but they didn't have any meaning. James lips were just about to reach mine when there was a sudden knock at the door. It was Charles. We both stood up straight, trying to compose ourselves.
"Sorry to interrupt, but Your Highness wishes to speak to Beatrice," Charles informed us.
"Of course Charles. James please let the Physician know where I have gone," I said.
"Yes, I will," he replied.
I followed Charles to The King's chamber. What would The King want to see me for? I knew that it would probably be big news, just like all of the other times I have stepped into his chambers. Charles knocked on the door.
"Your Highness, Lady Beatrice is here as you order."
"Thank you Charles, you are dismissed."
Charles bowed before leaving the room. The King looked even more bigger then the time before. He was wearing the necklace that he always wore and a tunic with black boots and pants.
"Beatrice it has been some time since Jane's passing and I have been getting a bit lonely at night time. Will you become my mistress?" The King asked.
A/N: sorry I haven't updated in a few days. Yet again I have written this in just a few minutes. It hasn't been edited yet. I wanted to leave a bit of a cliffhanger. Let me know what you think Beatrice should do. I'll update again soon.
