Daniel POV
For the rest of the day, me and Zach earned some really angry glares from some really angry people. We didn't care cauSeeee I still got my Jonah.
"That was the cutest promposal thingy I've ever seen. And Daniel, your face was like flushed with happiness I swear"
"What am I gonna wear? Ooouu should I wear makeup? Ouuuu let's match colors?" Then it hit me; I was the person Jonah liked. JDVAISG THIS IS THE BEAT DAY EVER!?
"Dani bOi calm down"
"ZACH SIOSHRIE I WAS THE ONE JONAH LIKED..I think"
"I bet you were"
After school I said bye to Jonah and made my way to zachs car. It was a white Jeep. Then freaking girls surrounded the car sting stuff to me. They then pulled me out of the car because freaking Zach had the damn doors off the fuckin car. Like the hell does this. Then I felt a hand slap me in the face and I low key fell to the ground because I'm weak.
"ZaChHhH help mEe!"
Zach ran out of the car but by the time he was over to me Jonah had already been there pulling them off of me. He was pissed. I wanted to cry so much.
"Are you okay, Daniel?"
I nodded quickly and stood up and got straight into the car without saying another word.
"Zach, take me home please"
"Okay"
Jonah said bye in the softest tone I've ever heard him use. I waved to him and slid down in my seat not forgetting the stupid door is off. So I was careful as hell.
"Daniel are you good bro?"
"Yes, I'm fine. Just embarrassed a bit because I couldn't help myself and I had to have y'all help me"
"Don't be embarrassed, okay?"

When we got to my house we both went up the stairs to my room.
"Shit.."
"What?"
"I left my bear and stuff at the school"
"Do you want me to go and get it?"
"No, no. It's okay. I can get it back tomorrow"
About two hours later of hard work and dedication...meaning studying, we heard a knock on the door. We both went down the stairs because we both wanted to know who was there. I opened the door and was surprised.
"Hi?"
"Hey, um I got your bear for you"
"Thank you.."
"No problem. Can you come to like my car so we can talk for a sec?"
"Sure I guess.."
I handed Zach my bear and told him I'd be right back. Once we got into the car, Jonah locked the doors. I don't know why tho. He then looked me dead in the face and kissed me. I was starstruck but kissed back. A couple of seconds later, I was smiling and blushing super hard.
"Sorry, I had to do that. I tried to give hints at school but you didn't like get it? Even though I took the advice that you had given me two days earlier sooo..."
I couldn't say anything, I was just trying to recap everything that just happened. It was amazing. But now I have freaking butterflies in my stomach. And I don't think hey are ever going to leave.
"Hey, I gotta go.." I jumped out of the car so fast and ran into the house and fell onto my couch. 'My' meaning my mother's.
"Zach Zach Zach Zach!! He kissed me!!!"
"Wait really!?"
"Yes yes yes!! It was the best feeling ever I swear' on everything!!!"
"Did he ask you out orrrrr?-"
"Nooooo I didn't give him the chance to ask me to be honest"
"That's- i-...anywayssss I gotta go home because my mom is having people over for dinner and she wanted me to be there and I don't know why"
"Okie. I'll see you tomorrow"
"Kay, love you bestie"
"Love you too"
Zach grabbed his bag and drove off to his house. Within a couple of minutes, my mom, my sister and my brother walked into the house. Anna and Tyler were arguing as usual but who cares cause I don't. I still have the vision of Jonah's eyes closed and kissing me. Jesus Christ I'm gonna have good dreams tonight. ;)) Ha. No I'm joking. Aheh.
"Mommy guess what" I said super duper happy
"What"
"Wait, you know Jonah right?"
"Yeah, he's that one boy that you always obsess over, isn't he?"
"Yes yes yesss. And guess what he did today!"
"What'd he do?"
"Well for starters, he brought me this teddy bear and candy...then he asked me to prom...thennnnn like a couple of minutes ago he came here and kissed me!! Mommy, he makes me so happy and I wish that we would just date already!"
"Aweee."
Then Anna and Tyler had to pipe in. They both said "EWIEE" In sync. Then I snapped back at them and said,
"Frick off, you uncooked potatoes"
The next day, Zach picked me up and took me to school. Lord knows I love having a best friend that has a car. Mommy says I can't have a car until maybe a week before graduation so I can 'show off' my car because apparently her and my dad are buying me one of the newest models of a Tesla, my favorite car. Sksks.
"Oh, so Zach..who was at dinner last night?"
"It was my mom's co-worker. She has a son who just moved here from his dad's house..and boy lemme tell you he fine as hell"
"What's his name?"
"Jack..Avery I think"
"Oh wow..Zach Avery. That's cute to be honest"
"Daniel Marais. I like"
"Why can't he be a Seavey?"
"Becauseeee I like Marais on you so you're gonna take his last name.....or else :))"
"Rude"
As we entered the school, there was a lot of commotion, as usual. There were the football kids in one corner hitting each other, basically Jonah's friend group, but he wasn't with them for some reason. Maybe he didn't come to school today. Then there was the chess club, student council and about thirteen other groups in that hallways alone. When me and Zach finally reached our lockers, Jonah was standing there and I don't know why. Zach wanted to flead the scene but I kinda held him by his jacket because I didn't wanna be alone and or embarrassed. I didn't say anything to Jonah. I just opened my locker and grabbed my things. Zach and Jonah we're exchanging snarky looks at each other and honestly, I really don't know why they would do that. I knew I had to say something to him, but what do I say?
Oh, I loved how you kissed me yesterday and then I left without saying anything.
How come you didn't tell me sooner that you liked me?
Your kisses are amazing, how come you haven't told me how good they were any sooner?
No sis. I think I'd rather not say anything to him and go on with my school day. Then he cleared his throat to get my attention.
"Daniel.."
Shit I forgot he can talk. How dumb of me. Then the same freaking girls from yesterday came up to us and grabbed Jonah. They pulled him somewhere and honestly, that was the last time that I saw him that day. I hope he's okay..
