"Hey... Hey... James! Come on! Wake up!! This is your last wake up call before I really lose it. Wake UP!" It was Saturday morning. Well, at least I thought it was the morning. I drowsily opened my eyes and the first thing I see is my cat, Scot, up in my face, purring happily. I gave him a scratch under his chin and he enjoyed it, tilting his head up and closing his eyes. His breed is a rag doll cat. I sit up in my bed. "What time is it?" I asked "Why did you get me up so early, Mom?" I rub my eyes, yawn and glance out the bedroom window to my left. Still raining. It's been raining for at least a week now here.
"It's not early James. It's 12:30. I let you sleep in late, but it's time to get up now." My mom said and walked back to the living room. I yawned one more time, and rolled out of my bed. I put on long pants, a tee shirt and a sweat shirt with a hood. Then walked out to the living room as well, with Scot following close behind. "Morning, sleepy head." That's my older sister, Megan. She's 19, I'm 16. "Yeah..." I said yawning again as I entered the room.
"Can I go get some lunch uptown?" I asked since I was pretty hungry and I couldn't find anything to eat in the fridge or cabinets. "It's raining, do you really want to go out?" my mom asked. "Eh, I don't mind really." I replied. "Okay, just bring your phone with you, dear." My mom said. "Will do," I said, sounding bored. I went into my bedroom again, to grab my wallet. When I had my wallet, I got my shoes on then headed out.
