"Are you okay Max ? You still look a little surprised." I asked him.
"I'm fine, thanks." He said adjusting his spectacles. "Good, now tell us what happened." Ivy questioned. I'm not sure if it's just me or that girl is a little nosy."Well, it happened this morning. I was walking to class with my camera on since I wanted to make a documentary. I accidentally recorded something that would embarass Aaron." He paused for a moment, checking if Aaron is looking at him and then continued. " That girl who rescued me earlier left her skateboard in the middle of the corridor and Aaron slipped on it and fell."
I had to suppress my laugh as I imagined the whole thing. It was comical. Ivy burst out laughing. Max quickly silenced her by pointing his finger towards Aaron who was glaring at us.
"Do you still have that video?"Sara asked curiously. "Yes, but I have to delete it soon or else Aaron will keep bullying me." That's when an idea hit me." Max you can't let that idiot bully you, I think you should use the video against him."
"Liana's right. I know what it's like to be bullied. You have to stand up against him." Sara said firmly. I was glad she was on my side." Okay, next time I meet Aaron I'll tell him".
Max was a bit unsure about this. The bell rang out loud. I looked down at my plate. I had barely eaten anything.
"Hey Max, that next time is coming pretty soon." Ivy said pointing to Aaron storming towards us." Uh-oh" Max said with fear etched across his face. "Be strong, we're here for you."
"Hello nerd." Aaron said through gritting teeth." Hi...Aaron." Max said weakly. "Did you delete it yet?" Max was trembling until he made eye contact with Ivy. Her green eyes gently replaced his fear with strength. "No, I have not deleted it and I refuse to do it unless you leave me alone." Max said boldly.
Aaron looked surprised and taken aback." You little..." He began and was about to punch Max. Max however remained calm and said " And if you think about hitting me, I could just show the video to the entire class".
Aaron stepped away from Max and I could see a hint of fear in his eyes.
He ignored Max and looked at us, or more specifically me. What does he want now? "Well, anyways I'm having a party this weekend and you ladies are invited. Don't bother bringing your friend." He said glaring at Max one last time before he left us at peace."That went well. Don't you think?" I opened up after a while. "You did great Max." Ivy chirped. "Thanks. I didn't know I had it in me." Max said looking proud of himself. "Can you believe that moron is expecting us to come to his party after all this?" Sara said.
"Well, never mind that. What time is it?" I asked noticing that the cafeteria was almost empty now. "We're gonna be late for class. Let's go." Ivy freaked out. I got rid of my lunch tray and followed the others out.
"So what's on your schedule?" Sara asked. Max and Ivy have Calculus, Sara has Geometry and I have Algebra. "Looks like you've got some free time before class." Ivy said checking my schedule.
"Yup. I'm heading to my locker. I'll see you guys later." I waved goodbye to the three of them and went to my locker. The corridor was half empty now. I wonder why Algebra starts a little later than other classes.
My train of thoughts were interrupted when a blonde girl slammed into me. "Oh, I'm so sorry." She apologised and bent down to pick the books she dropped. "I'm going to be late." She muttered and quickly ran off to her class.
I looked down and picked up a book she dropped. "Hey you forgot this." I said but she was long gone. I opened the book and looked at the name.
Chelsea Carter.
