The lady at the front had just let me go. The late bell had rung about 10 minutes ago, and Rachel led me to the room.

"So Izzy, where are you from?" "California." I answered back. "What?! No way!" She looked shocked.

"Yeah..." I didn't know how to respond to her outburst. "What the hell are you doing in Tennessee?" She asked sounding shocked.

"Well, my mom thought it was 'better for the family' but I wanted to stay in California." I say not wanting to share my whole personal life with this girl.

"Oh, that sucks. I would hate my parents if they made me move from California to Tennessee." I laughed at her statement. "Hate is an understatement." I said which wasn't a lie. I honestly couldn't stand my mom for the decision she made. If I hade a choice, it definitely would not have been to follow her out of the door.

"Well, hey! Maybe it'll get better!" She said breaking the silence. "Ugh, now you sound like my mom" we both laughed at my comment, she then turned to a door and reached for the handle.

"You nervous? You look nervous?" She said with a small laugh. "A little.." "There's nothing to worry about, this teacher is really chill, I'll tell him to put you beside me." I smiled at her as we entered the room and all heads turned. Rachel whispered something to the teacher then walked to what I assumed was her normal seat.

The teacher smiled at me and took my schedule to make sure I was in the right class. "Very well, good morning miss Jackson. I'm Mr. Duggins." "Hi." I gave him a small smile and he pointed to the seat beside Rachel. "You can have a seat there if you would like." I smiled and started to walk to the seat beside Rachel. "Everyone this is Isabelle Jackson, she is a new student here at North Point and I expect you to make her feel welcomed." "Izzy." Rachel corrected the teacher. "Izzy... My apologies miss Jackson."

The third bell rung indicating it was time for lunch.

I didn't have Rachel in any of my other two classes, and it was awful.

I started down the stairs to the cafeteria, not a hundred percent sure where it was when I heard a voice behind me.

"Hey new girl-" I cut him off right as he started, "Izzy." I corrected him, then noticing it was the blonde haired boy from earlier. "Sorry, hey Izzy." "Hi-" I started but was cut off by him. "Luke. My name is Luke." He said as a smirk appeared across his face, and I must say, it was attractive. He was attractive. He was about 6'4 and had a lip piercing with his hair going into a perfect quiff thing.

I was snapped back to reality when the boy spoke, "excuse me? I know I'm good looking but don't make it that obvious." the boy started laughing at his own joke, but I just rolled my eyes and turned around. He grabbed my wrist, and pulled me back. "Shit, do you not have jokes where you are from?" I looked up at him and he was still wearing the same smirk as before. I just shrugged.

"Where are you going now?" He said, I'm guessing trying to break the silence. "Lunch." He smirked again, "great! You can seat with me now, but only under one condition." He said laughing, "and whats that?" "You actually have to laugh at my jokes, and not be such a bitch about them." I half laughed at his joke. "Hey, I'll take it." He said laughing, and I let out a small laugh.

We entered the lunch room, and right when we entered all eyes were focused on me? Is this how they treat every new kid, because it's kind of scary.

"Why is everyone staring at us?" I asked Luke. "Well I didn't want to tell you, but you have a little something on you face." I reached for my face and blushed in embarrassment. "Kidding." He said in between laughs. "I hate you." I chuckled.

We made our way through the crowd of stares and mumbles. We finally come to a stop when we reached this table in the back corner.

It had 3 boys, one had kind of a golden colored hair, it was a curly mess but sill looked great. The other one looked kind of Asian, but I don't think he is. And the other one had black hair that you can tell had been dyed, but it looked amazing on him. Also at his table was two girls, one of which was Rachel from earlier, the other one was some curly haired blonde girl.

"Hey Izzy!" Rachel smiled and waved, I did the same. "How do you know her?" Luke asked Rachel, "I had to give her a little tour this morning." Rachel said and smiled. "How do you know her?" She asked back. "Well this morning she slammed her car door into mine." Luke said looking a little annoyed by what had happened earlier. "Wow, you should be happy you're still breathing." The curly haired boy spoke up.

"I'm Ashton by the way... This is Calum," he pointed to the Asian looking one, "and this is Michael." He patted the black haired one on the shoulder.

"I'm Sarah, by the way. I guess I wasn't important enough to be mentioned by Ashton." She laughed at her joke and everyone joined in.

"Well are you just going to stand there all day or find a seat?" Luke spoke up, I looked down noticing he had already pulled me a seat up.

I sat down in the chair and just listened to their conversations. I then looked around the room still noticing stares coming from various people.

"Just ignore them," Sarah spoke up. "They're just not used to seeing friends get added into our group." I smiled mostly at the fact she considered me a 'friend'.
