I sat in the back of the room, only hoping to draw as little attention as possible. Then a brunette with curly hair and a couple of tattoos entered the room. In this generation, that was considered sexy.

He scanned around the room, obviously searching for a seat.

Then his eyes met mine. His dark brown eyes and my dark green eyes had connected.

I sighed as he began to walk towards me. Well, looks like I have a partner in crime.

Hahaha.. I'm so funny.

"This seat taken?" He asked as he stood next to it.

"Actually I-"

"Thanks, love." He said as he plopped down in the chair.

Rude.

I sighed since he was being annoying. I didn't come to this school for friends, I barely even liked school. I looked at the punk teen next to me, receiving a wink from him.

"Your name?" I asked.

"What?"

"What's your name?"

"Oh," he began as he adjusted himself in his seat. "Edward Styles. You?"

"Demi Williams."

He smiled and leaned back into his seat once again. I grabbed a pencil from my binder. "Ya know, that's not the best way to impress a girl if you think you'r going to get married someday."

He scoffed. "What little voice in your head told you I'm getting married?"

"I don't know. I just thought you'd end up lonely someday, you'd need someone there with you. You always do."

He nodded. "I don't know. I may or may not."

I looked at him,"If you are, you should be ready because this is our last year of education. Unless some college is going to accept you."

He laughed,"Funny joke! College! You'r killing me."

"Good." I mumbled.
---
The bell rung and everyone shot up from their seat and scrambled out of the door.

I stood up and watched as Edward walked out of the room.

Within 5 minutes, it was just me and another guy in the room.

"Hey." I said as I tapped him on the shoulder.

He turned around. "Hey."

I sighed at the sight of Edward. Funny how sly he is when it comes to tricking me with his wardrobe. "Nevermind."

I grabbed my binder and head to the cafeteria.

I was now standing through the double doors, eyeing everyone sitting down at a table, in the lunch line, or just walking outside.

After I got my lunch, I found a table.

So I sat by myself.

I'm not the chatty kind of person. I don't make friends as easily as others. People think of me as the weirdo.

I began to slowly pick at my food and eat it. A girl walked up to me.

"Hey.." She said softly.

"Hi."

"Is this seat taken?"

"All of them are free." I said.

She softly set her backpack on the chair between me and her and set her tray down on the table. After sitting down, she took a rather large bite from her apple.

I tried my best to not make contact with her. I'm an introvert, I'm not here for friends. Just here to look forward to graduating for Uni.

"How do you like this year so far?" She asked after she took a swig of her water.

"I'm new here, I just joined today."

"Oh," she said. "Well, if you need any help-"

"I'll pass." I stood up and dumped the remaining things on my tray then walked out of the cafeteria.

Did I feel bad that I'd just walked out on her? Yes.

But if I'd known what I'd walk into, I would've stayed with her.
