Jose knocked on Kiro's door. "Kiro! Din din. We have taquitos!"
Kiro rose from the bed. "Ok Jose. I'll be there in a sec, I just need to wash up."
"Okey dokey!" Jose responded.
Kiro stripped himself of clothes. he turned the water on hot. He jumped in and sighed. The hot water felt good against his skin. He didn't remember the last time he took a dip. He lathered the soap on. Cleansed himself, and rinsed his hair. His hair, it was dark brown with light brown natural highlights. Only noticeable in the right light. His skin was tan, he was very muscular. As he turned of the water, he realized he had to hurry so they could eat. He dried of quickly, put on some clothes. This time he wore Nike shirt and shorts, with Fallen maroon socks. He left his robes on the bed with his weapons, all except one dagger.
Piper looked in the mirror as she washed her hands. She never realized how beautiful she was. Light brown hair. Always braided in a fancy way. Brown eyes. A lovely nose. She woke up from her thoughts, and heard Kiro getting out of the shower. I better hurry, she though.
Jose had set the table. A tray of taquitos in the middle, sour cream and avocado to dip them in. Strawberry Fanta as a drink. He knew he would love tonight's dinner.
Kiro walked out of his room. He heard Piper and Jose talking. Piper laughed at something Jose said. A twinge of guilt spread through his body.
Piper hurried out of her room and went into the dining room. Jose sat at the head of the table. She sat to the left of him.
Jose looked up as Piper walked into the dining room. "Where's Kiro?"
"I think he's in his room..." Piper responded.
"Probably spreading the roses on the bed for you two after dinner..."
Piper laughed. She was nervous but tried to act normal. She wasn't letting that happen again. One baby was enough to take care of.
As he came into the room, Piper and Jose turned to look at him.
"Ready to eat dinner?" Inquired Jose.
"Yes I'm starvin."
They all sat down. Jose led them in a prayer. "Dear Almighty God, we pray tonight that you protect us, that you guide us and keep us from our own foolishness. We ask in Jesus name. Amen."
Kiro crammed food into his mouth. The taquitos were deliciousness. He dipped his third one into the avocado.
"Woah slow down there Kiro." Said Piper.
"Yeah chachi leave some for us..." Jose motioned to her and him.
"Relax. There's still plenty more."
Piper suddenly didn't have an appetite. She had to leave Kiro now. "Look I'm gonna go get my robes on." She stood up from the table and left.
Kiro knew something was off. He looked at Jose as Piper stood up. They might be planning something. "Same here," Kiro responded. He left and quickly put his robes on and equipped his weapons.
Jose stood at the door waiting for Piper. "Ok Piper, we have to go now. I can get you to Texas and that's about all," Jose said as Piper came to the door.
Piper didn't want to leave Kiro but she had to. Or else she would betray him. That's what Kiro's mother said after all.
Jose stepped into the night. Piper followed and they ran of into the gloom, leaving Kiro behind.
